Hi, everyone – my name is Caitlin and I recently found myself in a shelter. The nice people at Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue heard about me and saved me – boy, am I glad to be out of there. I went to the vet and they gave me some shots and medicine for something called hookworms. The good news is that I’m heartworm (HW) negative – they say that is rare and I’m really lucky. The vet found bird shot in my body, head and ears – they say it is and old injury b/c it’s healed up and I will be fine. Can you believe someone would shoot at a girl as pretty as me? I was really skinny (only 47 pounds) but I have gained 8 pounds since I got to my foster home. Mom has been feeding me good food and I even get to eat twice a day – mom says it’s better for me. I walk well on a leash, know how to sit and I’m working on shake and down. I had a couple accidents when I first got here but now that I know mom likes me to go outside, all is well! Smile! I discovered that I like treats, love playing with toys (of any kind) and run around the yard with the other dogs. I really like the fenced yard b/c I can run all I want and don’t have to worry about ending up somewhere I shouldn’t. I like all people – even the little ones that smell funny (mom calls them her nephews). I like other dogs but I have not met any cats so I’m not sure about them. I like to ride in the car but mom puts me in a crate so I don’t get any wild ideas about trying to help her drive. I even got a manicure and pedicure (nail trim) today and I was a perfect angel. J So, if you are looking for an energetic young boxer girl with great manners, hurry and submit your application – I won’t be here long! Kisses, Caitlin
