Arrival Story:
Kirby came to live with us at 5 months. He actually belonged to our daughter, and he was just so hyper to stay at home alone while she worked. I started pet sitting with him. One day he refused to go home. He is a sweetheart, but also loves to growl at me. He would never bite, but just likes to complain. He has never had that hair cut and loves to be brushed (thank goodness)! He has mothered and trained our dachshund and they are partners in crime.

OK, Kirby Joe--it's your turn--you little grouch. I know it's just a put on, cause you want to be the boss. I love you very, very much. You are so good with everyone. You are definately the people dog in our family. Thanks for sleeping so very close to me each night. It feels so good just knowing you are there. I am so proud of you, loving Hannah (Grandchild) the way you do. She enjoys every minute she gets to spend with you. You do realize that you were really supposed to be her dog. Sometimes that makes her sad when she has to go home. But when she comes back and you make her every move, that really makes her day. You are such a smart dog, you seem to know when some one needs their spirits lifted and you certainly know how to do that. Keep being so smart and I'll send you to college, BOL!! I love you so much!!!

Kirbitt!!!

When Mom yells Kirbitt!!--you know I am in trouble. What did I do this time? When I know that I am guilty it is written all over my face. I start having a guppy face--opening and closing my mouth like a fish. When she calls me this, I usually ease over to her with my head down and real close to the ground. I climb up and get on her chest, she rolls me over and------(OH, NO)-------- scratches my tummy and chest. Then I think--I charmed her--I'm such a charmer, she forgot whatever it is I did!! I am so cute--she can't resist, bol. I don't get away with much--remember that I have a brother and sister to tell on me. Most of the time, I don't give them a chance--I am the talker of the bunch, and won't quit until I make whatever it is I am talking about known to all. I tell on them, won't let them get away with anything. When Sallie Mae sneaks a toy outside--they know, when she chews the gardenia bush--they know. One thing I can not figure out is where are the monkeys in the grass she destroys? Never--ever even saw one, I just don't know where they are, as she has gotten rid of all the grass they are supposed to be hiding in. Chili, now he is the sneaky one. I can't ever catch him doing anything, so I don't tell on him much. It's a hard job, but somebody has to do it!!

There is no such thing--can't be, never could be. Mom sometimes says she is hunting my batteries to take just one out and she hasn't found them yet. She says that if I am not creating some mischief, I am talking, and by talking--I think she means bossing. She knows me pretty well, and usually knows what I am going to get into, before I do it. I snuck Sallie Mae's baby blanket off he bed today and took into the next bedroom where Dad was on his computer. You see--there is a cubby hole inside that desk, that has my name on it--I've always laid there when he is on his computer. This small quilt was tne grandchild's 10 years ago--when Hannah outgrew it and I came along, it was put there for me. Now at times my sister uses it at night when she isn't cold enough to go under all the bed covers. That's ok--one more inch or one more pound, it won't do her any good anyway. See--sometimes there is revenge when you keep growing!! Chili and I both can get in the cubby hole, and there is just no way she can even put her big toe in! Ha--little dogs do still rule, bol. When she goes missing--that really gets next to me, as when I go looking for her, she will be cuddled up next to Mom in another bedroom on her laptop. That's when I start standing in the hall--going round and round, barking in both bedrooms! I am telling my Mom and Dad that it is just unfair--they need to be in the same room with me between them. It looks as if they would learn one day, doesn't it?

Mom says that I am a guppy!!

I try and hide things that I do. When Mom looks my way and she knows I am up to something, I will do my lips open and closed--just like a guppy and stare back at her. I have nothing to worry about, as Mom thinks I am so cute, and I usually make her laugh and forget the mischief I have been into. Chili and Sallie Mae usually tell on me, or maybe she just knows. She calls me the instigator--what does she mean by that? I really am the good dog--I try and do right and teach my brother and sister all that I know. It's not my fault if they just don't see it like I do. I find fun in just about everything I do. They often join in and Mom can't help but see us all three into something. They are always getting me into something---and my Mom says I look like a guppy!!
