Arrival Story:
It was finally time to add to our pack. After a long and sometimes heartbreaking search of no-kill shelters and rescue groups, we finally found Abby at the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees, NJ. It was important to us that our new pack was happy and would live well together. We saw Abby and met with her first, but she was extremely shy and quiet yet not fearful. We decided that she could be a good match for Dakota. The next day, we came back for the meet and greet. It went so smoothly with her future big brother, Dakota, we took her home the same day.
Bio:
Abby was originally a stray on the streets of Camden. Some wonderful human originally rescued her and a few other lost souls off the streets. But he couldn't take care of them all like they deserved, so he signed a few over to each of the local no-kill shelters so they could find real forever homes. That is where we found her, and she is no longer a stray, but a house-paw! It was a tough few days at the beginning...learning to trust and not be so shy. But she came out of her shell and is a big happy moosh! We are so glad she finally had a place to be loved and safe!
