momma is mad at me

boy did I make my momma upset today. she was letting the little grandson she babysits out the door to play in the snow in our yard and I ran right past her feet and out that door and shot like a bullett out to the street! we live on a very busy street and I never go out there except to get into the car but I got the chance to investigate to I was gonna. momma ran after me but she's old and slow and I am really, really fast, and the snow was coming down like crazy and she had slippers on and it was slushy....and she called me and called me but I just kept going. I ran out into the road right in front of an ambulance!
fortunately the driver, who momma has known for years, stopped. they didn't have anyone in the back and their lights weren't on so they could. I ran right in front of the big tires but I didn't want momma to catch me. cars were stopped all over watching me run around! and there was momma in her bathrobe and sweats trying to get me to come to her. no way!
finally another of her grandsons came out and he climbed right under that ambulance in the mud and slush and got me and pulled me out. he got all wet (hehe) and had to go change his clothes. and boy was momma mad at me!
she said I need to learn to not go out the door unless I am invited but I think I will try again just as soon as I can. wonder who is going to win.....

growing!!!

so, have you seen my new picture? haven't I grown? I am almost 3 pounds now!!! isn't that cool!!!
cocoa and I are really having fun together now. he has gotten used to me and I know what he will and won't let me do now too. we play tug-o-war together, and chase each other, and sleep together sometimes too, especially when it's cold and the fire is lit. we have a bed we share right in front of the fire where we can really feel the heat. it's heavenly!
momma gave us matching christmas collars with bells. she likes it because she can listen to us running around, although she can hear me anyway. she says I have "thunder paws!"
well, time for a cuddle and a nap :) so cozy!!!

I am home!

well it sure was a long trip, with a lot of twists and turns on the way, but I am now in my forever home!
momma doesn't really know about my birth, because I was living with a homeless man in his car with another puppy. a very nice man found us and gave the man money for us and took us home. we were only about 3 weeks old and didn't have our momma any more so we were pretty sick, but the wife of the nice man took really good care of us and we both got a bit better.
the nice people couldn't keep us because they already had a dog who didn't want to share with us so as soon as they thought we were 6 weeks old they advertised us for someone to have. my auntie laura was looking for a chi puppy for my momma and daddy and she found me and just knew I was the right puppy for them. (they were supposed to get a different one but that wasn't the right one for them and someone else fell in love with that one so they took me instead!)
so I went home with my auntie and her family and I got really sick then. she took me to a doctor and he knew what was wrong right away...my belly was full of those nasty old worms. I couldn't eat cause there wasn't any room for the food to go! so he gave them medecine (which tasted really, really good, yummy!!!) and he told them to force feed me every hour so my wonderful auntie and her family fed me every single hour with a syringe, even if I didn't want to eat. they even fed me all night long, and after a while I started to get better.
finally, auntie put me in a bag and took me with her on a big plane and we flew way up in the sky and when we were done flying she took me to her house, where momma and daddy picked me up the next day.
I've been home for almost a week now and I'm very happy and healthy, and growing stronger all the time! I have my brother, cocoa (he's a really nice little toy poodle. I don't mind he's not a chi) and my bigger brother, pepper who is a miniature schnauzer and a bit of a pain because he's so crazy! momma says he's still a bit of a puppy too and he'll calm down soon. I sure hope so!
so here I am, living the life of a princess! momma and daddy love me and I have lots of toys to play with and lots of visitors to adore me and cuddle with me and make a big deal out of how sweet I am.
