November 20th 2003

I love CAR rides, taking walks, playing, giving kisses, the word "comfortable" (don't ask why!), and laying in my momma's lap on a Sunday afternoon.

The vet and groomer, rambunctious children, people walking by my house, annoying noises that make me suspicious, and socks...ALL SOCKS ARE EVIL!! ;)

Favorite Toy:
If I had to pick...I would say it is my "Dirty Rotten" kitty stuffed toy

Favorite Food:
Anything that my humans are eating...but I cannot have too much people food...hurts my tum-tum.

Favorite Walk:
Down by the river's edge...lots of other doggies!! I also like to walk through the center of town...I like all the attention I get!

Best Tricks:
Sit, Shake, Gimme Paw, High Five, my "Happy" dance when my humans get home, but my best trick is killing all dryer sheets that happen to fall to the floor...

Arrival Story:
In February of 2004, my daddy bought me as a gift to my momma--to keep her company while he was serving a year in Iraq--and boy, am I glad he did!! My daddy thought he was buying me from a reputable breeder in Germany...but the breeder turned out to be an awful puppy mill!! When the "breeder" delivered momma was apalled by the condition I was in and decided to nurse me back to health instead of sending me back to that retched place! She couldn't resist my adorable face!! I was sick for a long time...I have battled a lot in my first year of life!! With a lot of TLC from my momma and daddy, I am all better now, they have made me the center of their universe! I now know that life can so sweet when there is plenty of love to be shared!! In loving memory of Isis...

More about Isis: Since February 2004, Isis has had kennel cough, an upper respiratory infection, bladder issues, intestinal issues, and the list goes on. I am happy to say that she is 100% now! She is a spoiled, lively, hyper, little Westie. Even though she is half the size of a "normal" Westie...she loves to show her "Westitude" all day, everyday! She is the best dog one could ever ask for! PS--the German Polizei have closed the "Breeder's" kennels...UPDATE: 11May06: Isis was recently diagnosed with Chronic Renal, off for more health adventures. Vetman is not sure why she is developing CRF so young...but he suspects that her kidneys never properly formed...thus, a possible reason why she has been so sickly in her short life. Vetman said Isis is a perfect clinical patient, with no signs of CRF, other than excessive water intake and output...I will keep you guys up-to-date on what's up with Isis' health...wish us luck! Update:: Isis' health had greatly deteriorated over the past week, culminating with several hospital stays for IV fluids. Sadly, she has not responded to any treatment. She will enjoy her last evening at home (Aug07'06) and will be assisted to the bridge on August 08,2006. Her short life has greatly impacted our family, and she will greatly be missed. In loving memory of Isis...
