A Day in the Life of Kodie

New changes for spring!

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I am no longer on the staff of the "Sweetiepies' Tea Shop"---when Morgan went to Heaven, I decided to help out the wee ones. I started baking scones for it but hey, that really is not my interest!! So I decided that this spring was a perfect time to let Holly & Nico "take over" again. I have my own interests....I like to hang out and go for walks. I also have developed a fascination for sheep.....they are always coming through our land. I can't go out with them (those sheepdogs are mean!) but I enjoy watching them through the window. But I will help Holly & Nico out on special occasions by baking some scones!!

Hopefully there will be more trips to journal about!! I heard Mommy & Daddy talking about taking us up to Colorado for a picnic in the mountains!

Summer Travels

I thought that I would catch you up on some of our activities this summer. We have been having fun going for walks in the evenings. I love to walk---but I have a hard time keeping up with Holly!! That Chihuahua sure is athletic!

Then in July us Sweetiepies went with Mommy & Daddy on a trip to Rio Rancho, New Mexico! Daddy had a part in a movie so while he was "on the set", we enjoyed walking around the grounds and relaxing in the motel room with Mommy! Ah, air conditioning!

Today we heard Mommy making reservations at an Inn in Albuquerque.....and we were wagging our tails with joy when we heard her say, "We have three dogs that will be coming also." YIPEE!!!! We will be staying a couple days. Of course, this isn't a "fun" trip for Daddy---he has to have some eye surgery while there.

So it has been a nice summer for us. Hot, though!! We don't mind---we are inside all the time except to go out and....errr, do our "business." Even though we have a fenced in yard, Mommy goes out with us. I think she is afraid of snakes & coyotes here in New Mexico!

Hope all my Dogster friends are enjoying their summer too!!

YOU SHOULD SEE THE SHEEP OUT HERE!!

Hi, friends!

By now (thanks to the sweetiepies), everyone knows that my family & I have moved to Newcomb, New Mexico--on the Navajo reservation!

I guess you could say that I am a sheepdog in paradise! Because you wouldn't believe all the sheep out here!! Our neighbors have sheep and they come thru our back field. I just love to watch them!! They already have sheepdogs with them (and a llama!!) or I would be tempted to go out and see how I would be at herding!

It's hot here but I don't mind. We stay inside and only go out when Mommy takes us out ON THE LEASH! We are looking forward to getting a fenced in pen that we can use when we want to go out for....err...well, just "go out."

I don't have as many pals as my siblings (Morgan, Nico, & Holly) but I sure love each and everyone of my friends. Please keep in touch!!
