Arrival Story:
UPDATE: My faithful companion, my beloved beauty queen, my Jasper Redd, passed away Dec. 5th. She had been having sudden health issues and was finally taken from us by pancreatic cancer. She is now waiting for us at the bridge. May you rest in peace, Jasper. You are greatly missed. ********************************** ********* My father, who was an Irish Setter breeder, gave her to me as a present. He said she had "great structure" and a ton of potential. Well, she turned out to be a beautiful big goof, but we definately do not love her any less. My father passed away March 2003 and for that reason she means even more to me now.

Bio:
My name is Jasper Redd, my family calls me Jas. I've calmed down since puppy-hood. When I was younger I was very mischievious. When no one was looking I would get into all sorts of things, like the fridge and cupboards. I used to get over excited on occasion and I would run all around- and run *smack* into a wall, good thing my mom was there to comfort me and try to calm me down. When my mom would leave me home alone, I would get anxious and chew on things.....like my mom's brand new queen mattress set, I was so proud of that one. When she got home she was speechless......well, for a minute anyway. My dad said it looked like it snowed a Sealy, and some other strange words. So my mom bought me toys to keep me busy (and kept the bedroom door closed FOREVER) and I learned she would ALWAYS be back. I should also add that I'm a sensitive girl, I don't like loud noises like thunder, when there's a storm I'll pretty much smother you. I don't like to get wet either, my mom had to extend our porch roof so I would go outside and do my business when it's raining out. She says I'm prissy...... and I'm not supposed to sleep in my mom's bed at night, because I have my own (well, I think it's mostly because I ate hers- that's when she bought me my OWN bed)...but sometimes....ok....always...when she settles down for the night, I sneak in bed with her, I know she knows I'm there because she puts her arm around me and we go to sleep. My mom loves me very much.
