Arrival Story:
One day when I went to work I saw this nappy brown dog in the parking lot wagging it's tail. I feed her Fruit Loops and gained her trust. She was covered from nose to tail in ticks. The dogcatcher couldn't catch her. She is really fast. I made some brownies for work but they were really hard and noone would eat them. Someone took one to her and she followed him right into the pound. I waited till the day she was to be put down and had to get her. She ate my cooking couldn't let her be put down. Had intentions of finding her a home but could never bring myself to do it. Been with me since July 2003.

I got to ride in the car every morning this week. I love to ride in the car. Just sit there and stare out the window. Mom took us to the kennel while the people were building the proch. She let Leah, Jasmine, Babette, and LiLi dtay home. Don't know why I wasn't allowed I wouldn't have hurt nothing. I got to go to the kennel though and play all day. There are so many squirrels there and I stared at the trees and hunted all day. Never caught one. They sure are slippery.

Mom brought home a monster dog named Betty. She is always picking on me. Don't know what her problem is. She is a pain in the butt in my opinion. Oh well what's a girl to do.

Jasmine is also being a pain. She is such a mood swing waiting to happen. Goodness gracious I almost get her some Midol the other day. Mom needs to put her on lock down. She is being mean. Bit me the other day cause I was breathing. I honestly don't know what Boyd sees in her.

TiTus is turning out to be a wonderful new toy. I love to play with him. He is so much fum to chew on. But boy can he dish it out to. Mom says she will put him in shows one day soon. Don't know how he'll fit in. All he does is play. And he even squeks if you find the right spot.

Well got to go Jamine is looking at me.

My life thus far

Dear Diary,

When I look back on my life thus far I see that I have come a long way. I am no longer that tick covered, skinny, timid animal that I once was. If it wasn't for my mommy I wouldn't be here, therefore I must stare at her all the time in appreciation. It kinda freaks her out sometimees I think but that is just an added bonus. When my previous owners moved away and left me behind I was a little worried about what to do next. Several people saw me but noone wanted to do anything to help me. Then I met my mom who at the time was the lady with the Fruit Loops. We became friends unless she tried to touch my ears, which were severly infected and covered in ticks, even down the ear canals. The guy in the blue truck kept trying to slip something around my neck but I could run much faster than he could and I would bite him if he got to close with any colars or leashes. Don't know why I was so afraid of them. Eventually they tricked me into going into a cage and I spent what felt like forever in there. The Fruit Loop lady came everyday to visit and I loved her for it.

She took me home with her, which was no small feat. I made her carry me to the car because I was scared. We got home and I met my sisters, LiL LiLi and Abbey and cat Arlo. Life suddenly got much better. I found myself living in the lap of luxury. Regular meals plus whatever I could steal from my mom. I loved it when she grilled, I could easily sneak raw meat off the plate when she wasn't looking. She thought that I was going to be an outside dog. Yeah right !!! I have tried that road before and am not willing to do it again. No more cold, rainy night. Now I sleep on the couch on top of comforters or in my crate that is piled with comforers. My mommy gives me treats for going in my crate.

I get so happy when I see her that my whole body wags and my face lights up. Mommy calls this my smile. She is always telling me how beautiful I am. Not too long ago I was homeless and now I have a home, my own colar and leash (that I am no longer afraid of I might add), frontline (no fleas or ticks anymore), regular meals, soft warm dry places to sleep., plenty of friends to keep me company (our family keeps growing), and someone to love me uncondionally. This is the life.
