Arrival Story:
Harry came to us through a no-kill shelter in Pittsburgh called Animal Friends. He was there with his two brothers, as they had been brought in as a litter.

We've decided Harry is the PERFECT dog, except for his habit of drooling when we eat. Other than that, couldn't possibly improve on him. OK, well he has gas pretty bad. Oh, yeah, and he has hideous breath, but other than that, he's PERFECT!!! Doesn't his nose look three feet long in that picture????? Too funny!

It breaks my heart to inform you all that our beloved Harry passed away yesterday. He was truly one in a million and will NEVER be replaced. After three documented cases of bloat and what we thought was a fourth, he passed at our vet's office on January 3, 2009. Eight years was just too short for him so have spent on this earth, but I take comfort knowing that my dad is caring for him now up in heaven.

Rest in peace now, bum......no more pain or illness. I will love you forever.

Hello everyone....Harry here. Well, I had an interesting week last week. Ya see, I've had this thing called "bloat" two different times. It's really scary when it happens and my mom said I almost died both times. All I know is it was a big pain in the belly and when it was over I had a big cut in my tummy with staples in it! Ouch! Anyway, my mommy thought it was happening again last week and she took me back to that "vet" place. They took x-rays and kept me for something called "observation". I ran all over the vet's office. It was a new adventure! Anyway, the vet called mom and dad and told them I was fine and to come get me. They did, and when we got home I didn't feel so good again. Mommy cried and cried and said she thought she was going to "lose me" - I don't know why...I was RIGHT THERE!! Anyway, I went back to see my friend the vet for more x-rays and "observation". As soon as I got there, I felt like playing again, SO I DID! The vet person called my mom and told her to come get me cause I was fine. Mom was glad to see me, but she was mad cause I cost her $275.00 and she said I probably just had a fart stuck sideways. I don't know what that means, I'm just glad to be home. Mom said she's glad to have me home, too.

I'm depressed.....sooooooo depressed

UGH! Steeler fever has officially passed. No super bowl, only the supper bowl. OK, so things aren't so bad.

Mom and Dad are really depressed. Mommy says we all need a trip to a place called the "beach". She says there's water there. I LOVE water. Wow, would that be cool! Whimper, whimper, whimper......
