A day in my liffe

Toys

Mom has been bring new toys alot lately. She has started on some that takes great imagination, BOL. The stuffed duck that makes alot of QUACKS if I even nudge it the slightest bit was a winner. The chipmunk making the click, click click was pretty tolerable. Today she brought in this brown thingie---it is supposed to be a squirrell she tells me. I start to put it in my mouth and it starts shaking and going all over the place. Man, I am very tired. She got me with this one. I played and played and played some more. Mom has a winner here!!!! A champion of the toy world, like me, would know. The other funny thing about it is my brothers are a bit scared of it. Kirby Joe will sneak up to it and smell, poor little (yeah, right) Chili hides behind Mom. The big bad BADGER HUNTER is scared!!!! It is kinda funny, isn't it? He finally settled down a bit and came to smell it, also. Neither one of them have figured out how to make it jiggle!! That means it's mine, ALL MINE!!! I can't wait till Dad comes home from work, I've got to show him---He won't get much sleep, will he? I just can't wait----

I'm getting to be a big girl now

Mom says I am still tall and not completely filled out for a boxer puppy. She weighed me today and I weigh 35.4lbs. She says I hold my ears funny. I hold the left one "normal" but the right one I bring to the middle of my head and flop it almost in my eye!!! She says it's a learned behavior from my yorkie brother Kirby Joe, as he does the same thing. It looks kinda cute for him to do it, but can you imagine me? I guess Chili is the only perfect looking dog in the bunch. He should get something right, cause his name is sooooo awful, bless his little heart!! I'm loosing ALL my teeth, Mom says that is a good indication that it is getting time for the S word. She is saving all her money for my next trip to the vet, This doesn't sound good from where I stand. Anyone mind explaning that to me please? I am doing better on my leash with this walking thing. I hear a new word from her these days, it's really 2 words---LEAVE IT!! She most definately means for me to do exactly that--especially to the cats around my house when we are walking. I just want to sniff them, and the yellow one would certainly let me do it. She makes me go right on by it, then gives me a treat, so I guess all is not lost. She thinks it's funny that I notice all but one dog on my walking path each day, and that's the only other boxer in the neighborhood. For some odd reason, I am really calm around her. She is sometimein her yard, but not every time we walk. If her master is home she must be inside with him. Mom thinks she is certainly pretty. I hope one day to look just like her. Oh, by-the-way I am just 4 and a half months old. Time's flying when you are having fun!!!! And that's my motto.

My hyperactive self

I have been extra hyper and bad this weekend. It's so wet here and I am so tired of being inside so much that when my mom has let me out in the big yard I have gotten hold to BIRDS. Not the chirpy ones, but the yucky awful dead ones and brought them for Mom nad Dad to see. They now realize that I only ate part of one, but did this 3 times!!! Mom is still very upset, but feels as if I am gonna be ok. She brushed my teeth 4 times on Saturday, I have sharp needle-like boxer baby teeth, but I now know that she plans on them being pearly-whites, BOL. My brother, Chili, when he was my age ate mushrooms, and the only one of us that never gave Mom trouble was Kirby. I guess that is why he is now the boss. They know that one day I will grow out of some of this trouble, but for now I am so bad that I will even growl in my sleep. What is a pup to do? My brothers (yes, Kirby, you were one of them) dared me to do it, I swear!!! Mom and Dad will never believe this, but I pawmise that it's the truth. They made me do it!!!
