Quick Bio:
-dog rescue
Likes: to play - wrestle and chew on "live bone!", run and pounce, stalk - although no kills yet except bugs, eat, cuddle in people's laps, lounge in the sun, watch Myles (the parakeet of the house) Pet-Peeves: not having her own down blanket, when the tennis ball sits by someone and they don't kick it Favorite Toy: the new sis AVA (R.I.P. - squirell, fish, kittie, blue holy roller, rope toy, towel, kong, cardboard, kleenex boxes, empty water bottles......) Favorite Food: Anything in my bowl, on the floor, in someones hand, on a plate, in the grass, grass, anything basically... I do love going out for ice cream in the summer Favorite Walk: offleash dogparks, hiking Mountains, alpine lakes Best Tricks: sit, leap, bang your dead, rollover, speaking when asked if smart, stay, finding the fish kitty or ball, balancing a treat on my nose, giving a kiss, crawl, paw, other paw, jump over tennis court net, (sometimes) jumping through a hula-hoop, crawl Arrival Story: Sienna came to live with us after a friend saw an add in the paper for Free for Adoption mother and pups vizsla/black lab mix. We went to the rather "modest" place in the country on a dirt road and found 4 dark brown and 1 black pup running around with a very skinny mom chained up to a little run in shed with little food and no water. Across the street lived a very nice purebred hunting viszla, so somebody had crossed the road... So, I ended up taking one brown (Sienna), a friend took the mom and the others went to good close homes as well. When my Sienna and her mother, Ribs, were together we saw something amazing...whenever Sienna got a drink she would go directly to Ribs and lick her mouth. We think this is something she must have learned to do because Ribs was tied up and couldn't get to the ditch to drink like the puppies could. Their kin ties are close. Bio: I had wanted a dog for a very long time but I wanted to make sure that I had enough time and support for one. Finally when my boyfriend and I made our latest move it was time and a perfect situation came up. I have always loved viszlas even though I never knew one personally. Sienna has proven herself to be everything I wanted in a dog (and a little more). We don't have t.v. and find ourselves constantly watching and laughing with Sienna. In the summer she jumps into the air trying to catch the raindrops, in winter it is the snow, she chases her back leg - yes, I guess the tail was too easy, if you ignore her pleas to play she will roll around on her back (either with a toy or without) and make the funniest noises, she gets bouts of puppy frustration where she tucks her tail down and spreads her legs out to get down as low as she can and runs as fast as doggy possible in the house and amazingly never runs into anything, and when she is really comfortable and cuddly in my lap she lets out big groans so we know she is happy Forums Motto: get it! The Last Forum I Posted In: need to fly a pup and worried about size I've Been On Dogster Since:
So truth is my upper left canine, a doggy's identity!, is broken. Of course it is my left one too, everything is with my left side. I mean I've got a little scar under my eye on the left, my left ear is shorter from a chunk missing from a story I dont' tell (I was a very young pup before I found my home), I had missing hair above my left eye from mange (sure glad that went away) and now this! Patty got suspicious after sometimes I would drop the ball (or whatever we were playing with) and just start licking my mouth. I tried not to let it bother me, but sometimes I'd get this wierd feeling. I heard them talking about how it could have happened...all those play times with my dog mom and we would bite each others mouths...chewing on icicles that fell off the roof...eating/chewing some unknown...rough housing and biting steel toed boots...I like hearing them guess. All I know is now I keep hearing something about gold and teeth and bling-bling. Whatever it is I just hope it doesn't affect my playability, and maybe it will affect my star-ability. I have heard them talking about moving to Los Angeles...I like the water and lounging in the sun, it could be cool.
