Arrival Story: Pancake began her life in a cage puppy mill in east Tennessee. The puppy mill closed and she was placed at a foster home. I saw her picture online and had to have her right away. I filled out an application and drove 1.5 hrs the very next day. The minute I saw her I knew I couldn't leave her. She was shaking but that tail wouldn't stop wagging. She shook the entire ride home and we stopped at Sonic where she had her first taste of french fries. The very next day Pancake spent the entire day sitting at the door waiting for me to come home and she has been attached ever since.
Bio: The puppy mill was horrible to Pancake and I honestly have no idea how old she is as she was mistreated. When I brought her to the vet to be spayed they discovered that her insides were full of cancer from over-breeding. The vet said that she probably felt horrible. Well, when Pancake went for her yearly visit he said he couldn't believe it was the same dog and how healthy and happy she was. It took her almost a month to play with toys and a year to walk on a leash but she is such a happy little girl!
