Arrival Story:
Charlie came to me through a local dog rescue group. He was pulled out of the shelter the day before he was going to be put down. He had been dumped at the shelter by his prior owners who said "he was a biter." He was only 9 months old - he was just a puppy! Since then, he and I have been inseparable, and he is the best dog I've ever had, and far from the "biter" he was supposed to be! He's really smart, very loving, and lives to please me (how great is that!). He never meets a stranger and even people who claim they don't like "little dogs" fall in love with Charlie. He has been a great friend to his brother, Freddie and has really helped Freddie to come out of his shell. He loves his brother and cleans his face all the time. They love to play together and chase each other around the house and stand up on their hind legs and "box" and wrestle. It's hilarious to watch! Oh the humiliation! My best friend dressed "King Charles" up in drag! But, the picture was just too cute not to share! So, King Charles is now "pretty in pink"! Charlie has become quite the guard dog and barks at anyone walking past the house. One of his favorite pasttimes is barking at the mailman when he drops the mail (the mailbox is next to the front door). He has surely done his job when the mailman is "scared away" every day!!
