Well, today, Friday 11/27, 2009, is a big day for me. My new momma came to adopt me. I went with my foster mom earlier in the week to meet her, but since my new momma didn't have all the doggie supplies, I came back to my foster home for a few days and spent Thanksgiving with them. I got to kiss a couple new people and my foster dad came back from Michigan so I got to say goodbye to him. I loved my foster parents and gave them many thousands of kisses, but soon all my love will be for my new momma and her friends and family.

But before I adopted this great new momma, life was way harder. Oh, I had fun with my pals, but nobody really cared enough about me to make sure that I was safe and healthy and had enough to eat. See, I lived with some people in Kentucky who just let me and my pals, C.C. and SARGE run loose all over our neighborhood. Actually, C.C. might be my daughter and Honey might be my puppy's daddy but I'm not telling. Anyway, whenever you get 3 happy-go-lucky Boxers running amuk, doing whatever they want without any rules there's bound to be some really unhappy people calling Animal Control. And that's what happened. But my owners didn't change and so finally AC took us to doggie jail where we waited to go to doggie Heaven soon.

But there are so many terrific rescue people out there that watch the AC facilities and kill shelters to save great doggies like me and Sarge and C.C. and so many others. They make a list of all the doggies about to be sent to doggie Heaven and email it all over the country asking rescue organizations to please save as many as they can. Me and my pals made it onto one of those lists and Animal Rescue Foundation in Glen Ellyn, IL picked us 3 and some other doggies to rescue.

So we all had a little surgery for the road so we don't make any more puppies and were put in a van and given a ride all the way to ARF in Illinois.

We went straight to an adoption event when we arrived and C.C. found her forever family right away. I'm so happy for her but I miss her. We sure had some good times together. Sarge and I didn't find a family that we loved so we went home with our foster parents and met some other doggies. Sarge found a great new family about 10 days later. I really miss him, too.

I have stayed with my fosters for about five weeks and went to meet a few possible new families, and a few people came to see me at adoption events, but none of them were the right match for me. Then this week I went to meet my new momma, and we knew right away it was right. I'm a happy happy dog! xoxox to all my doggies, especially my foster pal Johnny and to Sarge and CC from your sweet Honey Rose!
