   Leave a bone for Max

Nicknames:
None, it's easiest just to say "Max" and that's all he can remember anyhow.

Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
Chewable furniture, chewable shoes, food, girl dogs, Fountains of Wayne

Pet-Peeves:
None. You can do anything to him and he doesn't care. We're not sure he has any idea how to growl or snap.

Favorite Toy:
rawhide bone, but only when properly slobbered.

Favorite Food:
Anything edible, including things you wouldn't think of as "edible." Especially foods made of wood, cotton, vinyl, wool.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere, especially if we take the car to get there. Weather is immaterial. He would follow us through a bed of hot coals.

Best Tricks:
Clearing a large room with after-dinner gas, with no change in facial expression.

Arrival Story:
I bought a ticket in a drawing held by a breeder at a craft fair. Max is my one-dollar dog. At the time he was small enough to fit into my car. No more.

Bio:
Max was always raised with positive reinforcement and has never been struck, so if you act like you're about to strike him he just stares blankly. He shares our home with an ancient, one-eyed, grouchy basset hound so he's developed great patience. He's just the right mix of enthusiasm and calmness, and we're hoping that someday that little pea-sized brain of his will grow like the rest of him has. He is a born follower and will accompany you from room to room, place to place, and off a cliff for all I know. I have always had smaller dogs of more unusual breeds, but I am hooked. I just love this guy. If I'd known more of his personality a year ago, he'd be named "Tonto." My wife and kids were never this happy to see me, even on paydays.
