Arrival Story: She was going to be shown by her breeder, yet she had too many dogs to show that year. including Kyia's Parents, both Canadian champions. So she sold her at 8 months to a lady in Oshawa, who gave her to my sister at 3 years old, who gave her to me.
Bio: We live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Kyia is a true diva, eat and sleep.. lol. She is my little fluffy fluff. Very vocal and will get me kicked out of any apartment i rent in the future. Please let me win the lottery. Kyia will not eat outside the house and will not walk on a leash lol. She loves pizza, banana and pasta, actually anybody's food. Kyia has seborrheic dermatitis. and tends to get hot spots, ear infections and eye infections. Being Raw helped alot but did not fix everything.
Toronto based dog group. all breeds, This started as a free pet sitting exchange group only but the focus will be much larger now. you guys can post your dog items for sale or trade/barter. Professionals who groom, train , walk or have a rescue can advertise on here. if you make dog tags clothes, beds etc, please post your stuff, but do not over whelm the group, which means no daily posts of the same thing. if you want play dates or are having a breed specific birthday party, please feel free to post, and if you see any specials or clubs happening in the GTA please share.. now because of this change, all members info files will be taken offline so your info is not open to all. I would like to still develop a community of bartering , sharing , free based philosophy. We need to help one another out. If someone needs to get to a vet and has no ride, ( ttc restricts animals during morn and afternoon rush hours) It would be great to see members stand up and offer a helping hand. The way to become empathetic to a bunch of strangers is to interact. keep the lines of communication going, what new hair cut did you get? show us your half eaten sunglasses compliments of rover. Embrace one another and you will learn we are more alike than we are different.

ADVICE ABOUT HAVING TO GIVE AWAY PETS
kyia is starting to be picky when i feed her. well she does this every once in a while. she did not eat yesterday and not today. ohh well, she will be very hungry tomorrow. she also had an eye infection and as soon as it was healed. both her eyes blew up a day or so after. i think it was gold bond powder that got in them.
ouch! she also had an ear infection in her right ear which healed nicely with the enzyme stuff i got off the internet.
kyia also is wanting to play with jobi, but he is too active and wild for her. she does not wnat him to jump on her. just play gently.
another thing that happened is i was petting kyia and jobi went in between us, like he does, and she snapped at him(not biting, a warning) and he say down. he did it again, and she snapped at him again, and he say down and did not get back up. now that is teaching the canine way.
dogs are suppse to teach each other how to behave in thier own way in a colony, and this is what jobi is learning now.
kyia developed these black spots on her back. my vet says they are normal pigmentation, and all she has is seborrhea because of the oily skin and scabs. i think she has a yeast over growth. has anyone had these spots appear on their dog in later years? i am going to post the pics soon, i just don't know where i can post them
