Arrival Story:
We got an (another) urgent notice from the shelter where we were members saying that 3 dogs were about to be put down in about an hour and if we didn't come RIGHT NOW, we would just let that happen. Being who i am, i rushed down to the shelter. The woman who worked there led me to the 3 side-by-side cages. One was a male poodle. One was a male 3 year old Pit Bull. and the other was a female Pit Bull puppy. The puppy caught my eye and held it. The look in her eyes was so pitiful (no pun intended) and disappointed already, as if she knew i would not choose her because she was a Pit Bull. I knew if i didn't give her a chance and let her die, that look would haunt me forever. So i tried to purchase her, but the woman was so grateful that i came, she relieved me of t he dog's price. So me and my new Tigerlily headed to Petco, where i bought her toys, a bag of food same as what Mocha and Sketch eat, her own leash and collar, and went over to the engraving machine to engrave for her her own dog tag. My pit bull got a few stares because of her breed, but that didn't matter to me. The dog of my dreams.
