Arrival Story:
Long John silver is a very handsome, sweet boy with a lilac and white coat. He's looking for love and a family of his own. We received a call from animal control pleading for us to help save a sweet boy with a horrible leg injury. After going to see the dog we couldn't turn our backs on him ... Despite his obvious pain he was such a lover! He wanted nothing else but to climb on our lap, cuddle and give kisses. We were sold! We stepped up to take him in. His leg was so horribly mangled with bone exposed that amputation was the only option to save his life. "Long John Silver" (or LJ) is on the mend now but will require more vet visits throughout his recovery. We want LJ to find the best possible home because he is a remarkable dog, inside and out, with the personality to be a wonderful ambassador for the breed.
