Tails of Liberty (pun intended)

I'm now heartworm FREE!!!!

We got the good news today!!!! I've also gained 7 lbs. since I came to my furever home. Vet thinks it's all muscle from proper diet and exercise!!! Thanks for all the prayers!!! Woof!

My heartworm treatment

I had my heartworm treatment on Thursday the 24th. I'm doing ok so far. We had a scare over the weekend. All the meds I've been taking upset my stomach. I spent all day yesterday puking fluid and having bloody diareha. Today the vet gave me fluids and some tummy soothing meds. I'm on a 3 day diet of boiled chicken and rice. I'm feeling much better. Mommy can't wait until the 8 weeks of what the vet says, "Quiet, Quiet, Quiet" is over so we can go back to long walks around the hood and playing fetch in the back yard. The vet bill was 4 didgets. Please pray for Mom's business to pick up and Dad gets more overtime. I'll know I'll be!!!! Thank you Mommy for not giving up on me!!!!

My first week at my new home

Hello. I'm Liberty. I've only been Liberty one week now. I love my new Mommy and Daddy. I have 4 feline sisters. I've met three of them so far. They tolerate me. One, Fiona, wants nothing to do with me yet. She hides under the bed everytime I come into the house. House training is a pain in the tail!! I've peed in the house about 4 or 5 times!!! Crate training is going so-so right now. Mommy says it takes time and patience. I was spayed on Thursday. I'm still recovering. The vet said that my uterus was infected. Yuk! I'm glad it's gone!! Unfortunatly, I tested positive for heartworms. Mommy is terrified!! Not only for my heath and well being, but also for her wallet!! BOL!! I go back to the vet on Thursday for a chest x-ray and treatment plan. Mommy asks everyone to pray for my recovery.
