Likes:
sleeping under the deck in the mud and playing with our Maine Coon cat "Merlin"! They are in love~~~

Pet-Peeves:
the UPS man and baths. Plus, the Boxer on the next block who has harrassed him since puppyhood! He barks like he wants to kill us all. Bear just looks at him (sometimes) as we pass his house. This has been going on for 10 years! Give it up, dawg!

Favorite Toy:
He's just not a "toy" dog. Too much dignity! If you throw a ball and yell "fetch!", he'll just look at you like you've lost your mind.

Favorite Food:
Real chicken and "Beneful" dry food. Also "joint health" supplements!

Favorite Walk:
Now, at an elderly and stately 11, just around the block.... me too!

Best Tricks:
He's a Great Pyr......no tricks. Sorry!

Arrival Story:
Bear was born in Seattle, WA and we were blessed that at 4 mos. he flew thousands of miles just to be with us! He loves children and cats! Can't stand squirrels, UPS man or mailman.....FedEx is a lady - she's OK by him. He loves snow more than anything! ....And mud!~~~

Bio:
His great-great-great grandfather (a Grand Champion from PA) is on the cover of one of the most influential books on the breed. It may be out-of-print. Just have to find the title! The lady from PA (menopausal memory probs) who wrote the book is credited with helping to save the breed in the early/mid 20th Century.....Hooray! I'll try to find out her name. We all owe her a debt of gratitude.....

I'm NOT a SummerDog ! Summer is humid, has lots of bugs and our big yard is muddy most of the time....Stinks!

I turn into a puppy again when Fall is near. My favorite season! Cool breezes, colorful falling leaves, humidity be gone!, still muddy but who cares?!

Dare I hope for SNOW this year?! That's my 11th birthday wish on October 22.....just a sprinkle of snow!

Much happiness to all my friends ~~~
