Haircuts

Sometimes I get free haircuts. They seem to be at will, although I've noticed a pattern. Yes, dogs have a scientific side and can notice patterns. There's a pattern that goes with my Mom picking up a pair of scissors and saying something like, "Come here, Cutie!" That's how my new look usually starts.

Before the scissors get involved, I'm usually outside. And occassionally I pick up knick knacks from the bushes and weeds. Small green burrs shaped like seeds, big fluffy burrs (those hold on really well), and other various burrs - they are all beautiful and spice up my look when I wear them in my furr. Mom pulls them out. She's gentle, but what's she got against a dog wearing a little bling? The ugly part is that it's the ones that get in my longer furr that won't come out. I don't have a lot of long furr, but it tends to grow on top of my ears and on my tail. Two months ago I got an ear trim. Today it was the tail. I have to be honest, it isn't pretty. And my furr doesn't grow back so fast.

But there you have it. I like the lady anyway, and I can do without the burrs.
