Arrival Story:
When Sassy and her rescuer first met, she was all balled up in her cage at the shelter trembling in fear. She didn't lash out as some dogs do when so frightened, she came out of the cage with gentle coaxing and looked up with big brown sad eyes.

Bio:
Meet Sassy, a young female beagle who's sweet temperament and shy demeanor caused her owner to turn her into the SPCA.."because she wouldn't hunt." She has responded very well to being fostered in a home with other dogs and people who care for her. She walks on a leash with tail held higher and a noticable spring in her step. She has the twinkle of life in her eyes. Granted she is a bit timid still, but nothing like she was. She's come a long way and she has a way to go but she has responded well to the first step and you can see, it suits her. She reminds me of a delicate flower, beautiful as a blossom but with a greater beauty still inside. She enjoys other dogs and children and is fine around cats. She is up to date on shots and has been spayed. All she needs now is a loving, safe home to call her own. BUT, we are going to insist that she goes to a home with a dog she likes and can play with. She is one sweet little beagle, and loves other dogs and playing too much to become an only dog.
