Leave a bone for Aurealis (1998-2009)

Aurie, Brat, Stinky, Monster, Chubsy

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

Singing along, talking back, running in the snow, chasing the sprinklers, interuppting Mom while talking to friends, chasing the resident squirrel and her kitty cat Claire, and playing with her companion Sampson the Samoyed and watching Animal Planet!

Sharing bed with kitty Claire when Mom's in it, having my head pet by anyone but Mom, not getting my doggie bone treat on time, watching Mom leave for work in the morning.

Favorite Toy:
Anything with a squeaker which I promptly shred and destroy (squeakers are evil..) , sometimes think my kitty Claire is a toy, twist rope tug of war toy.

Favorite Food:
Leftovers that Mom won't eat, and the yummy yogurt drops our Auntie Margaret sends us from Mississippi!

Favorite Walk:
I don't walk, I run and run and run............ but if I must it's up the street to the school so I can run around the track then take a swim in the stream nearby.

Best Tricks:
standing on hind legs, and giving hugs to whomever walks in the front door, then proceeds to scent mark any male that she encounters by rubbing their head and licking thier hair, she sings with the sirens and can match thier pitch perfectly as they go by.

Arrival Story:
Mommy wasn't looking for a Malamute after her beloved German Shepard Jodi passed away, but saw the ad in the paper and went to look at the litter anyway. She fell in love with me at first sight because I started talking/singing to her immediately and I had such a curious nature and personality. She just couldn't say no when she looked me in the eye, and I've had her wrapped around my paws ever since!

I can carry on a conversation with anyone willing to listen or not! My singing skills are second to none and my neighbors just love it when I sing with the sirens at 3 AM in the backyard!

Forums Motto:
I'm the greatest singer in the world!!!!

I have passed over the Rainbow Bridge

On November 25, 2009, I quickly walked over the Rainbow Bridge in the loving arms of my Mom due to complications of liver cancer. I know she misses me so much, and I miss her as well, but I hope she knows that I have been reunited with my Sampson and am happy and free of pain.

I miss my Sampson........

It's been a month now and I still can't seem to get used to Sampson being gone. I howled and wailed when Mom took him away. I know it was the hardest thing Mom has ever done, and she still cries everytime she thinks about him. He was so sick and old and even though we tried to nurse him and make him comfortable, in the end we had to admit defeat. Mom says he went peacefully in her arms, so I guess I can take some comfort in that. I do miss him and it's lonely around here. I hope he's in a better place now doing what he loved to do, woo-wooing his way across that Rainbow Bridge and romping with his beloved Jodi that passed before he did. I hope Mom finds another friend to bring home some day, but I know she needs time to grieve. Til then I'll enjoy our walks and swimming adventures together and I'll continue to harrass the cat just to keep things interesting around here..... I Miss you Sam and look forward to the day when we'll meet again.........

Holy Cow! It's 2006?

Well hello there! Hope you like the new pictures and that your year has gotten off to a good start! I've mostly been a good girl this last year, just one minor mishap, and I think Mom is making a bigger thing out of it than necessary. She's dragging me off to the vet to get what's left of a tooth removed that I snapped off while trying to pry open a hard plastic candy jar! I love Chocolate, and I cannot understand why Mom won't let me have any! I thought I was being sneaky and grabbed the candy jar while no-one was looking and took it into the back yard. I tried and tried to get it open, and just when I succeeded in getting the lid off, well there went my tooth...... I am happy to announce that I did succeed in unwrapping at least two of the snack size candy bars and eating them, which makes the whole adventure worthwhile don't you think? I probably wouldn't have gotten caught had I not left a trail of candy wrappers. sigh...... It's all good though and I'm taking good care of my companion Sampson in his old age. I still don't much care for the cat Claire, she's really annoying, but Mom makes me put up with her. Mom's bed is MINE, but she makes me share it with that darned cat. It's so not fair! I'll have to remember to chase her in the backyard a bit more to show her who's really boss around here! I'm off to howl with the sirens, take care and let me know if you have any brilliant ideas about dealing with the cat!
