Seeing mom again...

Hello! My name is Judith. I am a Guide Dog for my mom in Oregon. I love being a Guide Dog! I don't like to type much but I wanted to tell you about my weekend last week.

My mom had been excited for something all week and when she started getting out the bags to pack I realized we were going on a trip. I love trips! Mom kept telling me that we were going to go see my first mom... I think I remember her- She had me for the first year and a half and taught me all I know. (although I think I knew it all from the start- she just showed me how to do it) She spoiled me and I remember she was the onn that kept my big brother, Vinnie. I loved him! We always took naps together! Anyways back to the story...
Well we got in the car with my buddies, Candy and Navajo, and drove and drove and drove until we got back to the Guide Dog school. I've been here a couple of times to see my friends graduate- I graduated here myself- with honors I might add. Mom says I was picked out especially for her!
We passed the Guide Dog school and went to a hotel. While I was waiting in line I heard my name... A familiar voice was calling my name...I turned around and there was a dog in my face! I sniffed her- nope it wasn't the dog calling my name... Who was it? I looked up and... Now I remember! It was my first mom! I couldn't control my excitment! I jumped up and down and made funny noises! I was so glad to see her! I got lots of hugs and pats from her! I missed her---after a while I realized my mom was not standing next to me! Oh no! Finallyy I saw her checking into the hotel. Whew! Later that night after driving for a long time- we had dinner at the Olive Garden with my mom, my first mom, and 2 other friends. And lots of doggies! It was so fun!
The next day I saw my first mom several times walking around the Guide Dog campus- I tried to say "hi" but I had a job to do, take care of my mom.
At the end of the day, while I was sleeping under the table at one of the booths, my first mom came over and sat with me. I got to see Julie, the instructor that worked with me before I graduated. Julie gave me a pat and told me what I good Guide Dog I am. My first mom held me for a long time before we said good bye. I will miss her but she says that maybe she will be up to visit me at my house when one of her other dogs graduate! I told her to tell Cessna and Maryjo that they'd better graduate so I can see her again!

Luv and Licks,

Judith
