 Quick Bio:
Likes: Snatcing food off the kitchen table, playing with Major, sprinklers, rolling around in the grass

Pet-Peeves: that Major is faster, when Major gets the tennis ball first, people messing with his family

Favorite Toy: tennis balls

Favorite Food: steak, oh yeah and whatever is left on the dishes in the dishwasher

Favorite Walk: just around the block will do

Best Tricks: Getting the ball back... We throw the ball, Sarg and Major go andf get it, Major is faster so he gets the ball, Sarg bites him in the tail, Major drops the ball and Sarg grabs it!!!

Arrival Story: Sarg was came from a breeder when I was about two years old. My folks had loved shepherds and picked him out. They brought him with when they went to go pick up Major, he was so upset, he pooped in the car while was waiting, ops.

Bio: Sargent was our "watch dog". He had a bark that could rumble through the house. If someone walked into the house he would walk towards them, give one huge nasty bark, sniff them and walk away, it was kind of silly to see people’s reactions; he never did anything he was such a great dog!! Sarg slept with my brother, this 130 lb dog was quite the couch potato. Sarg was diagnosed with hip dysphasia. As a pup and the vets told my family to put him down or give him back. He went through what were experimental surgeries and came out just fine. Sarg and Major loved to play ball in the back yard. Since Major was the faster dog we would sometimes hold on to Major so Sargent had a chance but Sarg caught on quick. After Major got the ball Sarg would grab his tail and when Major dropped the ball Sargent would snatch it!!! It was the funniest thing. He LOVED going after the sprinklers, the one that goes in a circle was his favorite, it could keep him busy for hours, but not do it's intended job. He had "spaz attacks" we could call them as a kid where he would slid down the grass or carpet rolling around, barking, and wailing himself everywhere, get up shake and walk away like nothing, I think he was part feline. He acquired the name Jaws from when he was a youngin. My mother was making cupcakes for our school when she turned around for one second and Sargent took a cupcake, wrapper and all in one swipe, he didn’t even chew, it was gone in a swallow! We would treat him with meat once in a while and show him the treat, then "line drive" (not in a mean sense) it at his face all you hear was "SNAP" and it was gone, I think he maybe missed a total of 5 times in his life. This dog had a stomach of steel, the vet just told us "all good things will pass" I swear he got into everything, no matter what we did, thumb tacks, coins, a rabbits foot, he was a bottomless pit, the vet was right all good things did pass. After Major died he was never the same. We went out and got two pups to keep him company, it was the coolest thing to see him "teach" them the ropes. He first started out with Rusty but realized how Rusty was "not all there" so he moved on to Shadow. He would get lippy with them every-so-often, but about an hour later would see Shadow curled up to Sarg. The cancer creped up on him when he turned 10, he went in to get his leg drained once a month. It was sad to see him have such a hard time getting down to the swing set where we would play, the property was kind of on a slope, but he would do it, that dog had so much heart!! I remember my mom picking me up from a half day of school, it was a Wednesday, I told Sargent that morning I would come home and play with him, however I never got that chance, he took his last breath that morning.
