Now that I am out here in the BIG room with the other dogs, I was able to participate in the fashion show last night as well. Since the same clothes fit me that fit Toto, I lost out and didn't get to model as many as he did. Oh well, that meant I got to play more! And, I am not sure why Skye made us sit (or stand) on that chair... I am pretty antsy to sit there very long! Oh well, enjoy my fashion show photos by Skye!!!

OMD... 16 DEGREES!!

Holy smokes, first we got 10 inches of cold, wet snow, now it is only 16 degrees outside and the North wind is a blowing!!! Mom was worried about me getting a bit cold so she put me in with Georgie out here in the front room. It's warmer here than in our pen in the dog room, especially since Walter chewed the wires out of my nice, warm, heated bed! What does he care? He's covered with long, fluffy, warm hair, just like sister Condi is. I am wearing my heaviest sweater but my bare butt and legs still hang out. I am not sure us hairless dogs are made for life in New Hampshire!!! Oh well, pretty soon Mom is going to take me to bed in her nice, warm waterbed. Everyone else says it is toasty warm, even if you don't get under the covers. I am pretty anxious to try it out. Maybe I can sleep all day in there, too. It would be better than the laundry basket Winston has chosen for his bed!!
Meanwhile, Georgie and I came out and played with the "big" guys. Mom took a few photos for my page, since she isn't likely to get any photos of me playing in the snow!!!!!!!!!!

Snow, continued........

Well, that snow turned out to be a bust! By the time Mom let me out to play in it, it was all a bunch of icy puddles! I sure didn't see anything too fun about that. Those puddles were wet and really, really cold... just like when Sarah turns on the washing machine while Tonya is giving me a bath at work... instant ice cold water!!!!!!!! By the time I had walked across the yard my jammies were all soaking wet and cold! I couldn't wait to run back inside and jump into my heated bed! Mom said that wasn't a good test. She said real snow is so frozen that it is pretty dry and powdery, and won't stick to me. I dunno about that, but I guess tomorrow is going to be another day to try it out. Meanwhile, Mom put some shavings in our inside pen so if we poop or pee in there it will get all coated by the shavings and we will stay clean. I must say, they really smell good, and they are much warmer than wet newspaper. Condi and Walter were complaining about them sticking to their coats... I sure don't have to worry about that, but, then again, they did stick to my sweater I was wearing yesterday!
Alfie told me that Mom is going to enter her and me in a real dog show. Hmmmm, I thought the handler guy was going to show me?? Maybe Mom is doing it cuz I don't have long hair??? Oh well, could be fun, I guess??? Hey, I just realized I haven't even been in the car since I came home from North Carolina... wonder if I still get car sick????

What is snow??????

All the bigger and older dogs here are all excited cuz it's gonna snow tomorrow. I have no idea what snow is! None of the older dogs where I came from ever heard of snow, either.
I wonder if I will like snow? Toto says we can run and play in it. Beanie says it's okay but it gets stuck to your hair and makes snowballs. I don't have any hair so I guess that won't be a problem for me. Hmm, I am getting excited. I sure hope I will like playing in snow. Walter's dad, Chaz, said he was sooo happy to come home for Christmas last year cuz that meant he could play in the snow.
I wonder if I will need my jammies to play in the snow??
What is snow, anyway????
( note from Mom.....to be continued!)

Catching up......

Mom has been very, very bad about helping me keep up my diary lately! It's not that I don't have an exciting life... I think I do! Take today, for example. I woke up, went outside, came in and ate my breakfast. Mom went to work, but pretty soon she and Tonya came home and got me and Walter and Condi. Over to work. We went outside again for a while. I didn't have my jammies on, so I got to come in earlier. Well, so I wouldn't be lonely Mom put me in with Beanie and Tyson. Wow, were they fun! We ran and ran and ran. Pretty soon the others came back inside so Condi and I played our new game with Mom and Tonya and Julie. It's called "keep away". I bet you other pupsters even know how to play this game??? Yup.. you got it! When one of them reached to pick us up and put us back in the pen we would run as fast as we could in the other direction!!! Great fun! I played that game with Mom about 6 times today. One time she was on the phone with the handler guy and I could hear him laughing right thru the phone!!! It even works at home. We are staying in Alfie's indoor/outdoor pen now and Mom fixed the gate so it only opens out now. Soo, when she opens it, we all race out and go in different directions. Mom is soo confused she tries to grab all of us at once and misses any of us. hehehe... what a great game that is!
Anyway, also today I got a little shave on my face. Mom got a neat people razor and she shaves my face and underarms with it. Cool! It is much nicer than the dog shaver cuz this one doesn't ever give me razor burn. Mom says I am truly a hairless hairless... some of us are hairy hairlesses and need some help with a clipper to make the right parts hairless. Not me, I need some extra hair where I am supposed to have hair. But, unlike those poodles, less is better in my breed!

We're Thankful cuz Mom is sharing!

Us pups up here in New England want to wish all of your pups a very, very happy Thanksgiving filled with lots of nice turkey. While the vets see more dogs with intestional upsets on Black Friday than any other day, Mom wants everyone to know it's not the turkey that is the villian!!! Turkey by itself is good for dogs... it is a safe, mild meat (unless you are allergic to it!!!) The problem comes with the rest of the Thanksgiving dinner. Worst of all is that great tasting fatty turkey skin. Man, is that stuff good, but, man is that stuff hard for us to digest and it really strains our pancreas. And, also a problem is the gravy and the stuffing, for the same reasons. Most of the veggies are okay, especially the sweet potatoes and the brocolli. But, watch out for the sauces on the veggies. A small piece of roll or bread won't hurt, but be light on the butter, please. As for dessert... skip that in favor of another piece of turkey!!!! And, you better stay away from the wine or you will be whining with a big headache.
Another thing to remember, watch where your parents put those turkey bones! Cooked turkey bones splinter really easily and can puncture your digestive system. Also, it is possible you could choke on them!!! If either of those things happen, you will be spending Black Friday visiting with your veterinarian and your pawrents will be angry... moms cuz they would rather spend the time and money on Black Friday specials and dads cuz they wanna watch all that football!!!
Soo, let's all go out and pawty hearty... but not too hearty!!! Happy Turkey day to everyone!

Call the ASPCA quick.......

Mom left ME over at work tonight!!! Well, she left me and Condi and Walter and Chloe all over here. She was muttering something about needing to scrub out our pen over at the house and it's not too easy to do IF we are in it. Sure, I suspect it was cuz she just didn't want to have to give me my special treat for reaching 500 visitors! Yeah, that sounds about right!!!
Oh well, we shall party all night tonight! And, we shall be messy and chew up newspapers all night as well so she will have to work MUCH harder tomorrow! She is getting out of work early, so maybe she will let us play outside tomorrow afternoon. It's supposed to rain though, the other pups won't mind, but they have hair... I don't!!!
Well, gotta go party now... party hearty!!!!!

Five hundred visitors.......

Hmmm, I just hit 500 visitors... guess that means I am going to get a special dinner tonight!! The other guys said 500 is nothing, but hey, I only came here a month ago, so that is pretty gosh darn good, I think!!!
Mom is going to cook us a turkey... hope I get extra since I am extra special. I was supposed to get my bath today, but Mom and Tonya were sooo busy that I never did, maybe tomorrow???
And, Mom said she might leave us over in the kennel tonight. She must be very tired... she doesn't want to carry us all home. Oh well, we will be back again tomorrow, so I guess it doesn't matter. We HAVE to go home tomorrow so we can get Turkey on Thursday!!! I hope I like Turkey.

My sister thinks she's big.......

It all started last night. Mom let us out in the kitchen to play for a bit before bed. Well, Condi heard some noise in the living room so she barked. And barked and barked. Mom told her that was enough, but she kept barking until we went back to bed.
Then, this morning when the first person came to drop off their dog for grooming Condi barked at them. And she barked at everyone else that came, too. Mom wasn't terribly happy, but she said this was a common problem with puppies... when they learn about their bark they use it all the time for a while. Not me, I would rather not spend all that energy barking. I would MUCH rather race up to people and give them kisses. Kisses don't use up much energy.
Mom says wait and see... boy puppies are usually behind girl puppies in development and by next week I will learn how to bark, too. The good news... by then Condi will have stopped barking at everything.
I don't know about that... I do know that right now Condi thinks she's big and she is protecting us, her servants. Yeah, right!

Another pleasant Sunday....

Wow, yesterday it was freezing cold and it poured rain all day long. Today it was warm and sunny outside. Mom took us out for quite a while. It seems that she had collected everyone's old mums and was planting them in the garden. We helped. Did you know those things taste AWFUL??? Both Condi and I tried them, ugh.
Today we explored the pond down there. Walter was all interested in a big yellow frog he saw down there... he said his gramma Jenny told him all about it and made him promise he would keep an eye on it for her. Guess he is doing that! Me and Condi just drank the water.
I almost made it all the way up into that secret shed today. Just as I was headed in, Mom called me out. Frankly I didn't see anything too great in there.
When we came back inside I smelled the most wonderful smell in our house. Beanie said that meant Mom was cooking chicken. She only does that once in a while, I guess... when she gets sick of peanut butter and jelly, or grilled cheese. He said it issoooo good and we get all the leftovers. Mmmmmm, can't wait!
I wore my pajamas outside today cuz Mom said it was very wet and I might get too cold. Nah, it was fine! Now, snow is cold, I guess, I never saw snow before. Tyson said I would hate it, cuz he had some bare spots from his show coat and the snow killed them! Maybe I will need some insulated pajamas????????
