So, the nice vet saw me without an appointment when Mom took Spongie up there this morning.
She looked at my eye and was not happy at all. She did some dye stuff and I do have TWO ulcers on it!! Soo, she did three different medicines and I still have to use the two that Mom already is using!
One is atropine... that is to dilate my pupil and stop pain and nerve contractions. One is called Remend and is a brand new drug for corneal ulcers and the last one is a steroid/antibiotic drop.
She said she was going to try and get some tracli... something or other which is another choice instead of the cyclosporin, which Mom is now using. The problem is, since it is also used in cancer chemo, it is very hard to get...it is usually backordered.
She also told Mom I need to use a cone and I needed my beautiful crest hair cut off. HEY, that is not fair!!! I HATE cones.
I have to go back in a week, and they will decide if I am going to need to have my eye removed then. Meanwhile, Mom put me in daycare with Piper and his brother so I am too busy to rub my eye!!!
Mom let me amend this instead of writing a new diary. All those new meds made my eye hurt even more so Mom put me in a crate beside Sponge so we could cry together, which we did!!
Mom called the vet this afternoon and told her I needed some pain meds cuz I was just lying there shaking and moaning. So, now I have ANOTHER drug to take! Fortunately, they are using the stuff I got for my leg and it tastes good so I don't mind. I sure hope Mom lets us go to bed early tonight... I need my nice waterbed!!!
