Likes: First, her Papa. Then, food! or sometimes it's the other way around. I come somewhere way down the road, after her squeakies; barking at squirrels; barking at the neighbors' dogs, etc etc
Pet-Peeves: Not being allowed to bark at the squirrels or the neighbors' dogs. If I tell her "no!", she will then go and "kill" one of her squeakies. lol
Favorite Toy: She could open up a doggie boutique with all the toys she has. She's an equal opportunity toy player. Right now, her favorite is her "Tiger" (in pic). Yes, creative name, I know! lol
Favorite Food: OMG. Seriously? uhm....Anything & Everything. lol If it's food, she loves it! She eats homecooked meals, so she has a wide variety of meats, organs, egg, dairy, veggies, grains, fruits, etc. She loves them all.
Favorite Walk: She loves to walk on our property and in the neighborhood. Lots of flowers to sniff and squirrels to bark at. lol
Best Tricks: She can "vogue" (remember that from Madonna days?) Well, actually what she does is go through a series of commands as soon as she sees a treat: she will sit, down, paw up, rollover, and down again....all in a row before I say a word! lol
Arrival Story: Sedona was my Valentine gift.
We had researched a while for several show breeders and decided on one who we really liked. We just fell in love with this precious Shih Tzu puppy when we saw her. She was red & white when she was a baby, and she had a huge personality, so the name Sedona fit perfectly (named after the famous city in Arizona, known for its beautiful large red rock formations). She was the largest puppy in her litter, and definitely the "alpha". Sedona would go around to her littermates' food bowls and steal all their food, and then come back and finish off her own. lol We knew she was a food lover for sure! She still is.
Bio: She is the most gorgeous Shih Tzu ever (I guess I'm biased, just slightly, LOL), and she is as sweet as she is beautiful. But don't let her girly-girl looks fool ya, because she's a real rough and tumble kind of girl when in the safety of her home, that is! lol She reminds me of a supermodel type: very willing to get glammed up, but most comfortable just being herself. haha S She's so patient during our long grooming sessions and even our photo shoots, but she mostly just loves to be a "pup" and play rough-house with her Papa until her topknot is disheveled and resembles a "beret" (hanging off to one side, and over one eye, lol) .
Barking at squirrels and the neighbors' dogs is her next favorite passtime, but only from inside the safe confines of our kitchen's large sliding glass door. Take her outside, and it's a different story. lol For instance, at the Doggie Park her only acceptable way of perusing the area is either from her papa's arms, or from the inside of her doggie tote bag! She is fine with other dogs as long as they are slow movers! But if there are any fast ones running about, Sedona will not have anything to do with them. She will just start crying for her papa to "rescue" her, and to pick her up and carry her. LOL
Sedona is waited on hand and foot, and I'm sure Ceasar Milan would not approve. LOL She eats an all organic, homecooked diet, and she especially loves "just cooked" meals (who wouldn't???!!! lol). She has an outfit that she wears at din-din time (a snood and bib! lol), in order to keep her face and chest clean while eating. She eats at a little make-shift dining table, fitted with a kitchen towel "table cloth", lol. She is very cat-like, and reminds me a lot of a Persian kitty. She does not like getting her paws wet, and so will usually not like going out in the rain. She loves to stay clean.
So, she's basically a "Foo-Foo Princess", who only imagines that she's a ruffian, I guess. :)
Shih Tzu are said to be a bit "aloof". And others I have heard of are super affectionate. Sedona is somewhere in between the two extremes. She can be super affectionate "when she feels like it". lol If you happen to have a treat in your hand, she'll be your best friend. But once that treat is in her tummy, she's off to other places -- that is unless you happen to have yet another treat for her! I must give her a gazillion kisses a day. Sometimes I sense she must think to herself "gosh Mommy! how many puppy kisses do you need??? Stop being so needy, Mommy!", and then she'll indulge me with a few puppy licks. lol Other times, she's just a love-bug, and she'll nestle right beside me and cuddle, almost cat-like. With her Papa though, she's always ready to be a lap puppy! I'm just the groomer, chef, nurse, etc. When I complain that she isn't giving me enough affection, I swear her look seems to say "Whatever Mommy.... whatever!!"! and then she rolls her eyes at me. lol

a. Just grab a random costume and put it on! Who cares?? You know you always look good in any outfit!
b. Take your time and just find the purfect costume! Mom and Dad can wait, can't they?
c. Run to your pawrents and go trick or treating without any costume at all! Anyways, still got my fur.

Dis is a twick question! BOL! I don't weally wear a collar cuz I wear a harness! But I have WOTS of collars in WOTS of colors! My favowite one, uhm, maybe is my pink leather collar with bootiful colored leather flower appliques on it. Den again, I have a bootiful Xmas collar dat is fancy fancy-- it is black wif poinsetta flowur appliques on it. Den again, I have a boooootiful COACH collar dat my papa bought me for Xmas one yeow, but my mama ony wets me wear it fur speciawl casions.
2. What kind of food do you eat? -
YUMMY food! Dats da kind I eat....YUMMY food!
My food is 100% organic, homecooked food. I gets to eat beef, or chicken, or lamb, or turkey, or ducklug, and I just twied WABBIT!!! YUMMY!!! I also get some organ meats in my recipe (livoh, or gizzwads, BOL! or hearts -- but dose are not weally considered "organs", cuz a heart is a muscle meat. Anyhoo, I also get eggs, and cottage cheese or yogurt, and I get veggies (wike gween beans, or bwoccoli, or sweet potatoes, or kale, or mustard greens, or spinach, cauliflower, ...I get a WOT of variety in my foods! and a wot of supplements too. BOL! I also get herbs in my food and wots of bottled spring water -- my food is wike a STEW! YUMMY! And it's all balanced wif da proper amounts of calcium, etc etc etc. I also get fruit as a tweat sometimes. I WUV watermelon, and cantaloupe, and stwabewwies, and bananums, and appews, and WOTS of kinds!! YUMMY!! sigh...I WUV TO EAT!!!! And now I tink I'm hungwy!! BOL!

Evwytime my momma takes me somepwace dat has a boy doggie, dey WUV me, but I dunt haf time for dat stuff, ...unless der is someone vewwwwy speciawl dat mite come awong, but so far...nope nope, no one speciawl has asked to be my Vawentine yet. *pouty face*
5. Do you get table scraps?-
Weowl, anudder twick questiun. Yes and No. My "recipes" are made of people food, but it is "complete and balanced", so it's not "scwaps". But, when my pawents awe eating, I do (and will fowevuh continew) to BEG at the dinnoh table, despite how many epsodes of Dog Whispewerer my momma watches! humpf! So, the weaker members of my famwy DO give me "scwaps" fwom da table (hint: mommy is NOT the weaker one, sigh). My Papa and my gwandma are da weakest links! YIPPEE!! And dey always giv me whatevoh I want, and den my mama yeowls for dem to "stop it!!", but I steowl manage to get some yummy bits of der food. I beg wif dinity, dtho. I do it siwentwy, so my mama can't notice me. BOL!

Anudder twick question. When you awre a foo foo Shih Tzu you have a miwwion toys! And I can't just choose ony one. BOL I WUV my Mr Tigoh (pronounce it "tie-go"). He's in my profial pickcho. And I WUV my pink piglet, Miss Pigwet. WUV her!! But I haf so many odder toys and I wuf dem awl too!!
