Birthday: January 1st 2007 Bio: Matilda is an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler. She has short white hair with black on her face and on side. She also has a docked tail. She is probably 2 years old. Matilda was rescued from being beaten for chewing up a book. She was taken to a veterinarian for care. Other than a few bruises she is just fine. She is now current on her vaccinations and has been wormed. Matilda is a very well-behaved little girl with a terrific personality. She loves everyone she meets and does not bark. She also gets along with other dogs. Matilda is presently being fostered on a small family ranch where she lives with adults, dogs, cats, horses and chickens. However, she likes to chase chickens. Matilda has manners, knows some basic commands, walks well on a leash and loves to ride in the car. She also loves to go out in the fields with the guys while they are irrigating. Matilda is extremely smart and catches on quickly. She does needs a job. She would make a wonderful agility, herding or obedience trials dog. Or, she would also be a great 4-H project since she is so calm. Matilda does need a secure fenced yard for her safety and exercise. She loves to run and play with people and other dogs. Matilda does not want to be tied up ever again or kept in a kennel outside. She is enjoying the life she has with her foster family and wants to continue being a family member and invited into the house with the rest of the family members. She likes to be outside, but when it is night or dark and cold, she wants to be inside where it is warm and comfortable.
