One of them agreed with me that all dogs should be tested for it. We got to emailing privately and she said that when she had a litter, she would let me have one of the puppies. For two years, I kept in contact with Helen and when she finally had a litter of three boys, asked her if I could have one. I didn't tell her I had a preference because I didn't. I trusted her to pick the right pup for me. I filled out her on-line application and waited. When the pups were 5 months old, Helen asked me if I would like to have Alberich--the oldest pup. I said yes and flew to Seattle in early April to pick him up. He cost $750 and was worth every cent. Bio: On our trip home from picking up Albe, we got into a serious car accident and Albe broke a front leg. The fine doctors at the Kansas State University Veterinary School fixed him up. Albe currently competes in flyball and is shown in conformation. Firerose Alberich (his registered name) has 1 point toward his Flyball Dog title and 12 of the 15 points he needs for his AKC championship (including both majors). I'm hoping to start competing with him in obedience and agility this coming year. I've Been On Dogster Since:
