Available for adoption or fostering through All Creatures Great and Small Rescue (ACGSR). Champ is temporarily being kenneled at the Dog House Inn in Gilroy, CA.

Bio:
Champ was adopted by a children's home from the Hollister Animal Shelter in 2007. Although Champ was very popular with the children -- they loved him and he loved them -- he was sadly returned to the shelter and ultimately rescued from death row by ACGSR. A big dog with a dominant personality, Champ requires a guardian with strong leadership skills and one who will give Champ an active life style. Champ is extremely athletic and intelligent -- he would make an excellent running companion or agility prospect. Champ is at the Dog House Inn in Gilroy, CA where is he undergoing training for obedience and socialization. He loves to be an in/out dog, but a very secure, fenced yard is a must for Champ, as he can scale a 5 foot fence. Champ is a good-hearted, people-loving dog who truly wants to learn, but he is strong-willed and requires ongoing training, obedience and socialization. He would be best in a one-dog home with no small children or cats.
