Another year without you...

Dear Angel BooBoo, I can't believe that three years have gone by since you left for the Bridge. I still remember your soft fur; I still remember how you liked to snuggle up close; I remember how you always followed me around the house. I remember the unbearble emptiness I felt when you left me behind. I am so glad to know that now you have your sight back. Now you have fast little legs to run after a ball. Now you have a strong heart that will never fail you. And now...you have Angels wings. I love you. I miss you. I'll see you later, baby boy! ;)

Ariel's Birthday Poem to BooBoo

BooBoo Bear, BooBooBear,
Asleep in Heaven on angels' hair

Under a shade tree he waited one day,
To see if his Mom would come to play.

He said,"It looks like I will wait another
Till I get to see my wonderful Mother."

He ran through a field and under a bridge,
To pay a visit to other doggie kids.

"Booboo Bear, where have you been?
You missed playing catch with our angel friend."

"I sat under my tree by the beautiful bay,
And asked God if he found my Mommy today."

I told him, “I promise I will always stay,
In that very same spot every day."

"I'd hate to miss being the first to see
My Mommy coming to visit me."

"But BooBoo Bear why do you wait?
When you could play with an angel any day?"

"I love the angels and my new friends too,
But I wait on my Mommy who calls me "Boo"

A once stray hound then asked the pup,
"What is a family like...What is love?"

And the hound said...

"I roamed alone on a cold dark street,
Where no one came to visit me."

"Everyday I fought for my life,
And always lived in constant strife!"

"A poor wretch I was with no one who cared,
I hated that world, it was too much to bear."

"I'm sorry hound. I did not know,
That you did not know love's sweet glow."

Another pup asked what happened those days
To make BooBoo want to wait by that tree.

And Boo said...

"I ran in the grass and strolled in the fields,
I never had to worry about missing a meal!"

"I rolled in Heavenly beds of snow,
I caught tears of sadness on my nose"

"I brought joy and happiness to weary souls,
I was always kept warm in bitter cold."

"I slept on soft beds; never hard ground,
Everyone loved me when I was around."

"I lost my sight but I still could see,
The blessings my family gave to me."

"And even when I lost my leg,
They scooped me up and carried me to bed."

"I was rocked to sleep and told I was sweet,
Till the day of my heart's very last beat."

"So now you see the reason why,
I sit under my tree all the time."

The pups nodded at each other,
And instead of running free...
They all went out and found a tree.

Now in Heaven when you look for your baby
Just find a tree, and they will be waiting.
