Arrival Story:
My fiance and I have been wanting to adopt a pug for a long time, however, we were not in the financial situation to get one. He wanted one that was a puppy so it would grow up knowing us and I wanted to adopt to save one. My best friend works at a veterinary clinic and one day he was brought in because his owner passed away. She immediately called me to see if I was interested. When I saw him for the first time I was a little hesitant because he was so loud (snorting) and about 10 pounds overweight. I met the previous owner's father who was very concerned about him having good parents. He brought his bed, his bear and his life vest because he loves to swim. I couldn't pass at the chance of helping this little guy out, especially at no cost to me! My fiance didn't get a chance to see him before I brought him home; he just said he trusted my judgment. And what great judgment it was!!! TJ has adjusted great with no signs of depression over his previous owner passing. His snorting has even gone away after a few weeks because now he is in a smoke-free environment. The first couple times we tried to let him sleep in our room we couldn't stand his loud, constant snoring but now it is very minimal. He has brought so much joy into our lives and I believe we have brought much into his too.
