Arrival Story:
I adopted Midori from the Colonel Potter Cairn Rescue Network in September. She had spent her entire life in a puppymill. She is so very special to me, and to her brother Jack Daniels, who loves to protect her. She is coming out of her shell more each day, and is working on finding her "inner Cairn".

For everyone familiar with Colonel Potter, Midori was formerly Clarice of the 8 C's.

Looking Forward to a New Year

It feels sooooo good to have a home - a place where I belong, am safe, and loved. I thought I was going to be a mill girl forever, but just look at me now! I know that I am one of the lucky ones, and I worry about all my friends that have not been freed yet, and I worry about all those babies I had for the miller - I wonder where they are, and hope that at least some of them are safe. On nights like tonight, when it is raining hard, I go around the house and try to bury anything that looks like a puppy, to try to keep it warm and safe. My mommie tells me that I don't have to do that anymore, and that I'm her baby now, and that she'll take care of me forever. I believe her, and now am getting brave enough to follow her around, and come ask for pets and belly rubs. I never knew what they were before. Oh, the things I am learning! There are things called TREATS! And WALKS! And BEDS are for SLEEPING ON! And I will never againd have my precious babies taken away from me too early! Life is definitely looking better for me this year. Thank you Colonel Potter Angels for helping me find my forever home.

Good thoughts and wishes to all my dog cousins at the start of this new year!
