Doing well

Today chuco seems pretty calm, he still seems to be alittle stiff when he first gets up from laying down but after that he seems fine. I still continue to massage his little legs, I think he really enjoys that!! Before work I took him out in the yard and we played for a few minutes, he chased the ball and he chased me for a little bit. He was running and walking fine so Im glad to see that I would just feel so awful if something got seriously hurt. I know the whole scenerio might sound bad but it was just a bad mistake that I feel real bad about. If he continues to feel stiff when he gets up from sleeping then I will take him in to see the vet!!!

First bike ride

So on fri afternoon 10/23/09 chuco learned to run along side a bicycle! We practiced in the playground across the street. The first few attempts were'nt so pleasant (especially for me!!! OUCH, MY POOR MANHOOD!!) after a while he caught on real good! So early saturday morning I deciced to try going for a reg bike ride. We were doing good until we were crossing a side street with a narrow sidewalk, well i made it up on the side walk ok but chuco decided to try and go around a light pole that was there........can you picture waht happened next??? well lets just say I'll probaly won't be having any more kids anytime soon!!! After recovering from that we continued, about 3/4 of a mile away from our house is a big park. We got there and all was well. We circled the lagoon and as we were leaving he saw a flock of geese.....ok, chuco was on my left and the geese were on my'nt it obvious what happened next???? well chuco had a couple tire marks on him and i was hurting ONCE AGAIN. Poor chuco, although not hurt other than the dirt tire marks we continued. we went about another mile and all was well. We stopped at a gas station and bought a bottle of water and shared it in preparation for the ride back. Now chuco has always been a huge fur ball of energy so I was hoping this ride would do the trick and mellow him out, seeing how hour long walks dont do much for him or an hour at the dog park either!!!!! As we got closer to home I finally felt him start to lag most of the ride there he actually pulled me.....even on the bike it was hadr to keep up with him! when we arrived home I could tell he was wore out, and then I noticed a little bit of blood, it was from his pads, two of them had got small scrapes on them. When I sa this I felt bad, up until we got close to home he showed no signs of being hurt!!! I cleaned him up, fed him and for the last couple of days he was sore and tired. I would frequently try to massage his legs, cause I know what it feels like because I go to the gym and on leg day I feel it for the next three days!!!! Well next time we go we won't go so far, we"ll gradually build it up. So now I know a four mile run is a bit much for him, the endless furball of energy!!!! Today 10/26/09 he seems to pretty much back to normal!!
