Arrival Story:
I have always wanted a dog but being bit by a dog at a young age my parents were always very apprehensive. When my boyfriend, now husband, and I had the opportunity to move into an apartment that allowed pets I started looking at every day. He came home one day and was talking about some puppies at the SPCA in the county where he worked and I said I had found some online. Turns out it was the same litter. We went that weekend and three remained. Sasha was the quietest and looked most husky-like and I'd always loved huskies. She had to stay with a friend the first week because we were not in our new apartment and our old apartment was very strict about no dogs. It was so hard to leave her every day. However, she's been with us ever since and was definitely worth waiting all those years for.

Sasha has HUGE ears, especially for her size. When we got her they were folded over but within a week they started to show their size. Everyone says "is she going to grow into her ears" and we say "she already has." In August 2004 she won a Doggy Diva contest and was named Best In Show. It was a proud moment. We think she has Malinois in her but we really aren't sure about anything except the husky. She always had a hard time being left alone but with the arrival of her buddy, Zorko, she has been doing awesome. They love each other and are partners in crime.

Yay! Zorko is a finalist in the Dogster contest in the working dog category and he does some hard work. He still trains regularly and works 12 hour shifts. He loves his job. He's a real sweetie and he is loyal. Sometimes people are surprised to learn that he is a police dog because he is so friendly, but when the time comes, he knows what to do and does it. I'm his campaign manager and want to encourage you to vote for him in the People's Choice Best in Show contest!
