She has a very sensitive stomach, so she gets not much besides Beneful. We will sometime stuff peanut butter in her Kong. She also *loves* ice cubes.

She's very good at 'come' and responds to a whistle, or the squeaker from a toy.

Arrival Story:
Ginger was adopted by my parents. She had been badly abused and neglected and had most likely been on her own for a bit. She was *extemely* fearful. The slightest noise would send her to the far corner of the house where she would then pee. When my sister moved out, Ginger went with her, but my sister was once again temporarily with my parents and they could not have a dog, so Ginger was living with us for a while. Now, my parents have a place where she can be again, so she is back with them in New Mexico.

Bio:
Her acutal breed is unknown. The vet/shelter workers think she's a Golden Retreiver/Sheltie mix, but she has also been tagged as a possible Nova Scotian Duck Tolling Retreiver, so who knows. While Ginger is the smaller dog by half, she was most definitely 'top dog' with Sissy. Sometimes we had to remind her that she was *not* Sissy's master, we were. After her initial fearful phase, she has adjusted *very* well to be a wonderful loving dog that everyone who meets her adores. She still has neurotic moments, but for the most part has fully recovered from her abusive past.
