Arrival Story:
I was on medical leave and my doctor told me to do plenty of walking. I got tired of the neighborhood and decided to drive down to the beach and walk in the sand. At the beach entrance there was a construction sign that mentioned a shelter. After my walk I drove to that shelter and there was Troy, it was love at first sight.

My First Entry

So this is going to be my first diary entry, so a little about myself. Mom adopted me from the Huntington Beach shelter, after I had been there for about 3 months, I was six months old at the time. Mom was out of work for surgery recovery, and the doctor told her to get plenty of walking. So she decided to go to the beach. From there she found the shelter and it was love at first sight.

I'm now about 11 months old and getting bigger. Mom says I'm too smart for my own good, I can figure out how to get into all the cupboards and drawers in the patio. She still insists that I'm too skinny. I also love water. She bought us a big water truogh and I love being in it. She tried Splash Dogs with me, but that's just not my thing. I don't think I like deep water.

I don't think Kylie likes me, she doesn't want to hang around. Mom says it's because I won't leave her alone and I play too rough. Grandma says I behave perfect when Kylie isn't around to distract me. But I am becoming a good watch dog, and that makes grandma feel safe. Mom says I have the perfect GSD stance, very alert. Of course that's only when I'm not being goofy.

I still have a lot of learning to do. Of course I know the basics; sit, stay, come, heel, down. I just need to learn to be a gentleman. I like to jump see, and it's driving mom crazy. I don't jump on mom, I know better. Plus I like potted plants and anything else I can get my teeth onto.
