Likes:
First and foremost, I love to eat! But next in line is belly rubs! They are the best. Ear rubs fall in at a close second! I also love spending time with my humans (mom and dad).
Pet-Peeves:
Other dogs, even my sister Sheena. I especially dislike when she barks in my face trying to get me to play.
Favorite Toy:
Live woodchucks although mom hates that I chase them and sometimes catch them!
Favorite Food:
Cheddar cheese, American cheese, cottage cheese, munster cheese...get the idea, any cheese! A close second is the peanut butter slices that my Aunt Donna buys me!!!
Favorite Walk:
Around the Lake if I have to be on leash, but I love doing the perimeter walk around our house off lead! (Because I am older, mom lets me off lead if she is with me sometimes. I can't run, so it's safe!) It makes me feel like the queen that I am!!!
Best Tricks:
Tricks? Tricks are not for me. I sit and shake, that is all you are getting out of me!
Arrival Story:
Shelby was at our local vets and was going to be put to sleep because no one had claimed her or wanted to adopt her. My husband and I were looking for a small lap-type dog at the time. When we went to the vets to inquire. They did have a cute pug...but they found its owners. They also has this wonderful Husky. When I pet her she lit up and when I walked away, she barked. They told me that she had never done that before. At the time I didn't believe them, but now I do, she rarely speaks. After a quick discussion, my husband and I decided to give her a forever home. And so, Shelby came into our homes and our hearts! She has been so great, we fell in love with the breed and now have four wonderful huskies.
Bio:
Shelby was put to rest in the loving arms of her mom and dad on May 23, 2005. Shelby is now free to chase woodchucks, squirrels and kittys...that is until mom comes across the rainbow bridge and tells her no, kitty's aren't filled with cheese!

Shelby, as mom and dad welcome another siberian husky, Loki, into YOUR home, we want you to know that we love you very much and without you, we would have never owned even one Siberian, let alone 5. You were and are a very special girl, our Shelbus....! We love you and miss you dearly, but please know you have left behind a legacy...Shelby's Siberians...as wacky as they are, they are our gift from you.
