Arrival Story: I've always wanted a Doberman puppy, so as soon as I got BC to say 'I wouldn't mind a Doberman puppy' I started looking for some near us. We found some in Alabama, which is 3 hours and 23minutes away from us, so we called the owner and asked him about the puppies. On Sunday we set out to get our new addition to the family, which took longer since we had car trouble for about an hour. We got there later than sooner and I looked at the three little boys that were left. Out of the three, I saw one that was a bit shy, but he had the cutest face. Even though I was going to pick the most energetic one, I decided that little guy was made for me. Desoto slept on my chest all the way home (I had laid my seat back, so he could do so).
Bio: Desoto was named after a blue collared Doberman off of Oliver and Company since I liked the name and the movie. I even bought him a blue collar. =D
Desoto has a problem with dragging out our shoes and tearing out the soles. Because of this we jokingly call him 'Soul eater'. He also has a bad habbit of dragging out the stuffed animals in the guest bedroom. I had to put them in the closet because of this. ):
Yesterday I was introduced to a scraggly ball of fluff that my parents found at the dumpester that followed me everywhere. It was scary!! It didn't smell nice, had fleas the size of elephants (Don't know what they are but I heard they are huge), and it ate some of my food! I think it even wanted to eat me. Why else would it follow me? At least it wasn't here to stay. Mom and Dad took it to a place called "The Rescue Ranch" where it would find a home to love it like they do Rayne, Oly, and me. Well... even though it was scary I'm glad that it'll find a home like mine.
The Rescue Ranch are even going to help Spay Rayne. They want Oly to get neutered, but there are around 200 cats on the waiting list with no funds to spay and neuter them. That is why they need everyone to vote for them at http://www.refresheverything.com/rescueranchspaydays to win $50,000 to spay and neuter animals that need it like Oly, Desoto, and me. It’s a non-profit organization so all of the earnings go to the animals. Please they need our help! D:
Here’s the Rescue Ranch’s website: www.therescueranch.org. You can vote through here or use the URL I posted above. They need to be in the top 10 to win and at the moment they are ranked 149th! Tell anyone and everyone you know. Heck tell people you don’t know. With just one vote you can help keep animal population in control. Why stop at one? You can vote for them once a day I think. :D
I woke up today and I feel much better! I'm still sickish, but at least I have more energy now. I could tell mommy and daddy were really happy that I was acting more playful. I'm happy too, because they're feeding me good stuff like turkey, ham, and carrots with my puppy chow to keep my health up. With stuff as good as that why should I eat my puppy chow in the first place!? So, I decided I'm not gonna eat it. Yep. Then they'll have to feed me the good stuff. ^^
Oh! When I went outside today Rayne finally played with me!!! She's not ignoring me anymore! I'm so happy! We rolled in the dirt and grass, growl and barked at each other, and playfully nipped each other. It was so fun! There's no way I could be as sick as the vet said, but mommy is still worried, so I had to go back inside after a few minutes with Rayne. *sigh*
I hope I get better soon so I can play with Rayne some more. =D
