Zumbi, get out of that ditch

What a week! Tuesday, Mom and Dad put our beds in the back seat of the car and we rode aaalllll day and into the night to our nonfur Nana and GrandDad's house. Both of us got some lap time with whoever wasn't driving. I don't know why you can't stand on the round thing to look out the window, but it's always "Zumbi get over there... " We did stop for a nice long lunch at a rest stop with McDonald's hamburger broken up into our kibble. I think it was a doggie restaurant cuz there were lots of other pup's walking around and having lunch too.
We got to Nana's late, so didn't have much time to explore. They gave us our own room on the sun porch, but just like at home we get to come into the big bed in the morning. It's not as big as the one at home so Mom kept saying "are you two going to give me any room?"
The only problem at Nana's is she doesn't have a fence, so I had to go out on a leash. But there was so much to explore I snuck out between GrandDad's legs one time. Went four blocks before Dad caught up with me. Had a great time though. Particularly discovering splashing in and out of ditches. Mom was glad she hadn't had me special groomed for the trip.
Did get to play with a cute 4.5 month black lab, named Angel. We chased around the cul de sac for a good half hour. She was visiting across the street from real close to where my cuz Finn lives. I think Mom was asking about the way so we can go visit Finn and Skye.
On Thanksgiving Mom's brother Bruce, wife Sonya and kids Austin and Sam came too. Mom and Nana and Sonya spent most of the time in the kitchen, but we had lots of humans to play with. We were real good during dinner. Big dogs eat first. Dad cleaned off all the Turkey from the bones and we got a very special dish with turkey and even some mashed potatoes.
I think we're leaving today but we're not going straight home. Fergie is so worried about her sweet Skye she wants to go see him for herself... and Mom says yes.

What a Fun weekend!

First thing Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market. I was real careful to stay away from the pumpkin displays, cuz I already had my Halloween costume on which was a jack o'lantern baby t-shirt. Didn't want anyone to mistake me for a pumpkin and try to take me home. Saw a couple of pups there including a cute little Shit-zu in a T-shirt kind of similar to mine. Everybody thought we were soooo cute. Fergie was not impressed.
That night was Halloween. I'd never seen one. Mom tried to put the pumpkin hat on me but I wasn't having it. She was worried about me running out when the kids came for candy but I was real good. I let her pick me up and hold me and let all the little princess and goblins pet me if they wanted. Fergie would bark at the knocking, then she would just stand back and watch, so I handed out the kisses along with the candy.
Sunday was even funner. We went over to Orlando for my first Cavalier Meetup group. WoW. It was in a nice home with a big fenced yard so we were all off leash. There had to be 25-30 (who could count with everybody running around) Cavaliers of all colors and sizes. Mostly Blenhiems, but a wonderful B&T bud named Guiness, and a little B&T guy, named Skittles. I had a lot of fun romping with his baby sister, a 4.5 month old Ruby. Even though I am only 2 weeks older than her, I'm a LOT bigger. I did get a little TOO interested in the lady of the house, Lilly, a pretty little Blenhiem who apparently just got done with her first season. A boy's got hormones, ya know.
Mama Tina got there late (not unusual for her) and brought my 3/4 B&T sister, Dora and my full ruby brother Mo, (Mama Tia is calling him Mini Me cuz he looks so much our Dad). She's still trying to find a furever home for him. What a wonderfur family reunion we had. The nose knows, ya know.
And then lastly, we went to an outdoor restuarant in Balwin Park. Like Cocoa Village, it's very dog friendly. We saw quite a few other pups while we sat under Mom and Dad's chairs at sunset. The folks even shared a WHOLE lamb patty with us for supper.
Life is good.

Where do I start?

So much has happened in the last week. Can't quite call this a diary since I have to tell you about at least 5 days...
First, and bestest, Mommy came home on Saturday. She told us on the no smell box on Thursday that she would be home soon, but soon to me is 10 minutes so I wasn't sure how long her soon was.
Then about noon on Saturday, there she was, at the door, hugging me (and Fergie, and I guess Daddy) I think I kissed her like 10 minutes straight. Oh Yeah! And she says she'll be here at least until after Santa time, Oh Joy!
We went all over on Saturday running errands. PetSmart, JoAnns, Goodwill, Sears. Mom wasn't sure I'd be allowed everywhere, but everybody was like oh, ah what a cute doggie and some even knew I was a Cavalier King.(Charles Spaniel).
Most of the errands were because Mom was getting ready for Sunday, the annual Mid Florida Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club Rescue Fun Day, (whew). Fergie told me they went last year and "it" all started there. Until then she hadn't met too many other pups nose to nose. But they went and she found out that she didn't mind other pups. Mom and Dad got involved in rescue and Flynn came to live here, and Fergie found out she didn't mind living with another pup. So when Miss Tina's Molly and Rusty has puppies and I appeared, it was "written".
Daddy was the chief grillman. He and Roxie's Dad made all the hamburger and frankfurters ( we won't call them by their other name). Every fur and pawrent talked and laughed and barked. I got to playin an xpen with a Whole bunch of cousins and half siblings. Got (go look at) a great picture with Julius, no relation, but my hero, a champion I hope to emulate.
Can you believe, after all that we didn't go home? We went to Gulia's house (2.5 year old human girl, guess we're right about the the same "age"). We had a lot of fun running aroungd in the back yard, though a fence would have been nice... not into leads ya know.
And the last, but definatley not least. I am now also a graduate. Last night I graduated from Puppy Kindergarden. I got to go an extra week so Mommy could be there. I did fine on most things like sit, down and stay. And playing with my firends Sophie and Ringo. But walking at heel is not my thing,,,, especially, as the teacher said, now that the hormones are starting to kick in... and i want to be with Everyfur.
What a week!!!
