Chewing on mom's sandals and anything else she can sink her teeth into when bored, single-handedly destroying the lizard population of Florida, and running in wide, fast circles around every other dog at the park.

Bath time, brush time, nail clipping time, crate time...basically, any time that's not designed for her own entertainment or leisure.

Anything that squeaks.

American cheese, on the rare occasions she gets it...otherwise, her Greenies.

Arrival Story:
I ran into my ex-boyfriend's buddy his last night in town before driving back to Jersey (from FL) to live. I jokingly while petting the dog asked when her if she wanted to live with me "forever." The next morning, my ex woke me up, telling me that my "new dog" needed to be walked. I was flabbergasted and thrilled--his friend had taken me literally, for whatever reason, and left. ...Had he left vet records, food, or anything more than a leash and collar on an unhousebroken, neurotic and anti-social flea-bitten dog, it would have been ideal, but what situation is?
Now, two years later, she's only marginally shy of strangers who come over, great in new environments, good on and off leash, not too selfish, and overall...everything we could ever want in a Shiba!
I just have to keep reminding my roommate (who was very leery of the idea of keeping her at first) that at the very most, our amazing little girl is "OURS", not just "HIS."
Bio:
Mika's best friends are Ralph, my mom's ever-patient-at-being-gnawed-on basset hound, and Bugsy, the most handsome pug/boston terrier mix to ever roam the earth.
