This was my first pug baby. My next door neighbor died leaving behind no will and his 17 year old daughter. She did not want to keep Puglet, so I asked if I could take her. She agreed and Puglet's new life began. In her old home she was never allowed inside, ate large breed dog food which she had to fight a labrador for daily. She was never bathed or groomed and had only one vet visit in which she was prescribed steroids for a skin issue that turned out to be as simple as a flea allergy cleared up completely by Advantage. One day the ex-wife (who was already re-married) came by and demanded that everything in the house was hers, including Puglet. She had left years earlier and had no previous interest in the dog. She began to throw words at me because I was feeding chickens she abandoned on the property, and things got heated and eventually this confrontation led to her suddenly wanting Puglet. After legal battles with lawyers and fees, I could not afford to keep up the fight. She has a history of abusing animals and children (her own), and it was very unfair and painful when Puglet left after only being with me for 2 short months. I am certain that those 2 months were the best in her life and I hope that wherever she is, she is safe, warm and loved.
