Leave a bone for Mulligan

Quick Bio:
 Birthday: April 1st 2009
Arrival Story: Mulligan was adopted from the Animal Adoption League. According to his foster mother, he had a pretty rough start, and needed a do-over. My husband & I agreed, so we kept the name "Mulligan". Plus, Mulligan sounds like a name for a big, goofy guy. So far, it appears that he will grow into a big, goofy guy.
We got Mulligan when he was only 11 weeks old, but according to the biography we got from his foster mom, he had already had a tough life. He'd been traded to someone for rent. Left outside in a pen 24/7, even through storms, and then given away to someone else, who may have been abusing him. He was reported to the animal adoption league by a neighbor who could hear the puppy cying and screaming and being yelled at. The man who had him agreed to give him over to the AAL.
Very sad, but it's OK now. He's got a great personality. It seems like he was removed from the bad situation before there were any lasting effects. He's in his furever home now, and he's got a cool older brother - Ronin.

Bio: We don't know what Mulligan is. He was initially advertised by the AAL as a Bernese Mtn Dog mix, but his foster mother admitted that they really had no idea. That was just a guess based on his markings. Since then we've thought: golden retriever, bloodhound, and now irish or gordon setter mix. He's gotten really long & lanky, and his fur is very silky. My husband & I have already decided that, even though it doesn't matter at all, we're curious enough that we'll eventually get a DNA analysis done.

Forums Motto: I do not know how that shoe got there.
