Arrival Story:
She is a Humane Society adoption, we got her at 7 or 8 weeks old. She is a mix and black so we were afraid not as adoptable as other dogs. She was so smart I got her to sit, lie down and target in the 10 minutes I had alone with her at the H.S. My sons liked her and Snickers sniffed, wagged his tail.

Bio:
She was shipped up from North Carolina with two of her sisters. One Sister, very Border Collie looking, was named Dora and went home with a 4 year old boy and his parents. The other Sister was black with a little brown and super bossy. We don't know much else. Likes to swim in the pool and go for walks with Mom and Snickers (on the left in the photo). I have to change her weight range on the page, she got BIG. At 14 months she has mellowed a lot. She acts more like a German Shepherd so I changed her primary breed. She weighs 53 pounds and is taller and longer than any of the other dogs. She has become vocally talented and "talks" to us. More like she talks back TO us. She would rather be outside than any place else. She's not into fetch, but likes to play soccer with a large peanut butter jar - not a soccer ball mind you. She can out run, out eat, out wit, out last everyone! Pepper, her 'brother' Snickers and her human Mom and Boy completed a "Tricks and Shaping" class in the fall. Pepper was a star student, Snickers was.....maybe class clown? Had Pepper's DNA done....She is 1/4 German Shepherd, 1/4 Chow, 1/4 Golden Retreiver, 1/4 mutt. Well the Chow explains her ugly voice! Pepper plays dead and waves now as well as some minor tricks. She learns in 15 minutes what Snickers takes weeks to learn. On the other hand, she can't "stand" or "beg" and Snickers does these well. Different talents.
