Hi there, Its Aidan here. So my first few months was a lot of work. I had a leg injury to my back right leg and everyone was not sure it was going to be saved, but my foster mom wanted to try and that she did. I was on medicine and she did constant re-rehabilitation with my leg to improve muscle mass and get me moving it again. I have to say now I can actually use my leg, typically when I am not thinking about it. See I had to favor it for soooo long that I still have it in my head I have to be careful with it. But when I play fetch I completely forget about it and will use it with no problems. I also use it when I am out on my walks. My mom also found out that I really like to play with smashed two liter bottles, she will take it above my head and spin it in circles and I chase after it, in doing so I use my back leg to push me around in circles. So it looks like my leg will be saved after all, yay for all the hard work my foster mom has done
for me. I have to say I am such a good boy any family would be lucky to have me. Im pretty mellow in the house, I like to take up residence on the couch and nap most of the time. I also sleep on a pillow on the floor next to my mom's bed I really like that and am such a good boy the whole night. While mom is at work she leaves me out to roam the house, well all except the kitchen she has a gate up to keep me and my fur sisters out of there, she says my fur sister is bad about eating things she shouldn't. I am always such a good boy, I wait to go potty when she returns and I do not get into anything around the house expect maybe pulling a few toys out :) I have learned what sit means and I respond to come almost all the time as well. I really like to please and can learn a lot more if you are willing to teach me. I love treats. My biggest passion in the whole wide world is to play fetch, when I get outside I love to go and go and go, I will
either bring a ball or a two liter bottle to my mom and drop it at her feet and stare at her until she throws it, if she ignores me I push it closer to her. Once she throws it off I go as fast as I can, it is so much fun and then back I run to mom to throw it again. I am good at leash walking but I tire out very fast since my leg is not completely better yet, but once it is I would be an excellent walking companion probably even good for a running partner as well. I love my social outings whether its my walks or to a store or a rescue event, I just adore all the attention everyone gives me and can not wait to have a family all my own. A family that will love me as much as my foster mom does, I have not had that before in my past and I just love it and I am sooo grateful to have it now. I have a little more healing to do but it will not be long at all before I can go to my new home so look no further, if you are looking for a charming, loving, and
kind fellow I am your man. I may be petite but who says great things come in big packages sometimes the smallest package is wonderful.~Aidan

Aidan still has 50/50 chance his leg can be saved. His foster mom is doing leg therapy with him and trying to get him to use his leg more, which is working out great so far. He was neutered yesterday & is recovering great from that.

Hey Y'all,
Aidan here, I am just your typical southern gentlemen. I have manners, yes I do, and I am as sweet as pie, cute to if you ask me. My foster mom says I have something called heartworms, not sure exactly what that means but she says I picked it up from some stupid mosquitoes and now I have to be treated for them. I still need to be neutered too (which I really do not mind, I will be healthier, happier, and friendly because of it), once I gain a bit more weight. These nice people saved me from a horrible place, I hear them call it a shelter. I do not know what would have happened had they have not picked me up but I did not have a good feeling in that place and do not think it would have been good. I was left in miserable conditions and I was very underweight and my leg hurt pretty bad too. Mom has really made me feel soo much better by feeding me some great food all the time and taking care of my hurt leg. She says she is trying her
hardest to help my leg but tells me I may have to be prepared for what they call an amputation. I think they mean they will remove my bad leg...to be honest my leg is not serving me any good right now and just weighs me down, If it can not be saved I will not be sad to have it gone, I will finally be able to run like the wind again. She even on three legs I get around pretty great, my bad leg does throw me off balance occassionally but I can run and play with the best of them. My favorite sport is chasing a ball, its one of those yellow ones that Mom throws for me and the others and we take off after that thing competing to see who will get to it first. You may think my bad leg would slow me down and I would not get that ball but occassionally I do happen to snag it and when I do I take off with it. Mom says I need to learn to bring it back but right now she just calls my name and I drop it, then someone else will pick it up and take it back
to her to throw again. If I did not have my bad leg let me tell you I would be a pro at catching that thing, even in the air. It's so much fun!!! Besides playing around outside in the sun, I LOVE cuddling with Mom, anyone for that matter, I am a great snuggle bug and if you allow me to share your couch or bed I will keep you warm on a cold night for sure. So you want to know some basics about me huh, well I am housetrained yup even not being neutered I now know to potty outside thanks to mom. I do not get into anything and can be left alone in the house with no problems. I do not mind a crate but Mom has never had to use one for me since I am such a great guy. I will usually be curled up in a little ball on the chair when she comes home and then I quickly scurry down and great her with a wagging nub and some kisses. I really like having other doggy companions but they are not necessary for me to thrive. I enjoy being around
children but because of my hurt leg it would be best to have older children that can understand I may hurt sometimes. I am good with kitties so if you have one of them that is cool with me. Im pretty much an all around great guy if I do say so myself, so if you think you would be a great home for me, one to give me the love, exercise, food and comfy places to lay that I need, look me up once I finish my heartworm treatments I will not be here for long so do not wait or you may miss out, apply today.
See ya soon, Aidan
