Arrival Story:
I was looking for another dog since my other dog (Timber)was getting older. I went to the Aussie Rescue web site and spotted this beautiful (to me) blue merle female who had one ear that stood up. I inquired about her and they told me that Lacey had been on "death row" at a shelter because she was unmanageable. Found as a county stray, she had been confined to a 6'x12' kennel run for 2 weeks because the kennel workers and volunteers couldn't handle her. She was going stir-crazy. The Aussie rescue lady took her home and she got a chance to play with her Tervurens, which took the edge off of "Susie." They knew she would need a special home that understood high-energy, smart dogs. When I applied, they gave me the chance to adopt her. My mom named her Lacey ("she looks like she has on silver lace") and the name stuck.
Bio:
Lacey is competing currently in flyball, obedience, and agility. Her official title is UAGII UCD Eatinrock's Silver Lace CD ASCA-CD CGC/TDI.
