*10/5/09- A note from Promise:*

I learned a new trick...I can go down stairs! It was very scary at first. My
parents tried their best to teach me with treats and helping me...but in the
end it was my step-sister Gracey and cousin Buddy who really taught me. They
showed me if you just go fast there is nothing to fear. Buddy is a ten month
old lab who is learning to be a leader dog for the blind. I met him on
vacation last weekend and we got along great! Buddy and Gracey also helped
me learn that my parents will leave me out of my kennel if I don't make a
mess while their gone. I have been so good my parents never put me in my
kennel anymore! Gracey and I get to play and sleep all day even if mommy and
daddy aren't around.


My parents got me a new leash for walking. (a gentle leader) It feels funny
around my nose and makes me not able to pull as much. Mom and dad really
seem to like it though. During the day my mom takes me to this wonderful
place where I get to run around without a leash. Theres always other
dogs there too! We get to play fetch and chase each other with so much open
space. My mom always tells me Im a good girl because Im nice to all the
other dogs...big or small.
