Arrival Story: Dosha was on the streets with a homeless person for the first six months of her life. Being mistreated by her owner, she was taken at 6 months old by an animal shelter. at 9 months old I located her at Clackamas County Dog Shelter, 3 days away from being euthinized... she has been with us every since. She still has some scars physically, but all of her emotional scars have seemed to have been healed by being in a loving home.

My life didn't start out too well, very little food, a owner that didn't treat me the way I should have been treated. Life just sucked, and it only got worse for a while. Soon some nice people in uniforms came and took me away from the mean owner. They were really good to me, but I was in a cage all the time.
One day, this nice man and lady came and didn't walk past my cage like everyone else was doing that day. They took me out in the play yard, and spent almost a whole hour with me. I really liked the guy, he stuck in my head. So much that when he came back in a week, I remembered him, and started jumping for joy against my gate. "Another hour of play time outside with this nice man." I thought... But it wasn't just another hour.
He took me out into the main room, and bought me a collar, and a had a leash. I even got a ball and some treats. Then after I sat next to him while he did something on these big white things, he took me out of what I had called home for the last 3 weeks a different way than what I had came in. He put me in this big noisey metal thing with 4 black circles, and we traveled for a long time.
He treated me with love the whole way while the lady drove. I have been loved on every since. I got so many toys I don't know which ones to start with, and I have so much room to run with no fences... well except those fences that keep me away from those funny looking animals I want to chase so much. (Goats and Cows) I bark at them through the fence all the time, my owner tells me not to though. I've learned not to get my nose too close to the fence though, it hurts. Last time I got my nose to close and it hurt, I bit back, and it hurt worse... I burnt my tongue... so I had to be on a softer diet for a while.
But I have been out here almost 2 and a half years now, and am so happy. I love everyone that comes around, get along great with the cats, I even play with one of them. I even have too much energy for my owner sometimes. Dad takes such good care of me... Mom wasn't sure of me at first, and I of her, but we're coming around, and forming a bond finally. But don't take me away from my dad.
