Arrival Story:
Our dog, Savannah, is very playful and easily bored because she feels we do not give her enough attention! Even with her walks, her gazillion toys and periodic visits from her doggy buds, she seemed to need someone else at home to play with. We started searching online for puppies who were in need of a permanent home. We are strong believers in rescue dogs so our search focused on all the many rescue groups in the Phoenix/Maricopa county area. When we saw Carson's picture, we knew she was the one.
Bio:
Carson - whose original name was Ebony - had been one of a litter of 5 three-week-olds who had been left by the side of the road in a box. Fortunately, she and her siblings were saved by a wonderful couple who fostered them until they were ready for adoption. Carson had originally been adopted along with one of her siblings by a couple who then discovered that two puppies were more than they could handle. So Carson went back to her foster home. We visited her and immediately knew she would be perfect for us - and for Savannah. We live in a wonderful, dog-friendly neighborhood (84 homes, about 100+ dogs!) and Carson has already started meeting some of her neighbors - canine and human! She is a charmer!
